Why would you even change the date from the real one in June!?

(We got my dad a movie about a crazy dictator. Heh.)

My sister took my dad out to eat for lunch. I don't live in the same state, so, all I could do was call. I tried calling later that evening and my dad's phone went to vmail everytime. I think, based on what my sister said, he was hooking up! ohmy.gif It's a horrifying thought. sick.gif

I've never truly celebrated this day. I called my grandfather because he expects it, then called my moms husband for jokes to brighten his day since he doesn't have kids.

I very much enjoyed my Father's Day! While I don't celebrate it with my biological father, I went out to dinner with a few of my friends, and we took out an older gentlemen we're all very close with, as he's such a dear and is always there for us and trying to make sure everyone's happy at his dinners and such, and he doesn't get out much.

I did, however, end up getting stumbled into by someone who had too much to drink and fell 10 feet to slam into the concrete ridge of a pool before rolling in. My right side is in a fair amount of pain but it looks far worse than it feels, and I didn't break anything. Another half an inch difference in my fall though and I'd be toting probably three or four broken ribs, so all in all I consider it a great day!

And yes, a happy, happy (though belated) Father's Day to all of our daddies in Lusternia - I know you're out there!

No no np, the reason we haven't gotten the FATHERSROCK credit sale yet is because the REAL Father's Day is in September! You're all just too impatient to wait so you moved it to June.

We celebrated Mother's Day on Father's Day. Odd, isn't it?

Also, on the topic of odd injuries, I got a toothpick stuck about three quarters to an inch deep into my foot. Luckily it didn't go through the other side. I'd hate to have to writhe free of a pinleg IRL.

I watched a guy step on a nail once. Right through the rubber of his boot, through the foot, and out the top. I laughed, and laughed...

Crappy father's day here, though. Didn't get to spend it with my daughter due to miscommunication of dates and times.

There's always next year! Or the next whoever's-day which you can convert into Father's Day! Or we can just wait for the real Father's Day as Asmodea says.
