I'd be more apt to think if there is a lie, it'd either be:
a) He is not a doctor, but is scum.
He is a doctor, but did not protect Shiri, he protected himself.
Also, Shiri, I don't have any evidence built up or anything, it just seems like since the focus was put on Solanis many pages back (Before day one ended) you've been very adamant about defending Solanis. I'm not making accusations yet, just noting it. Or perhaps I've just gotten the wrong impression off of it all. I do understand that if you truly believe he is a doctor, you would want to do everything you could to prevent him from getting lynched. I'm still leaning towards there is dishonesty of some kind from him, but I've not made up my mind if I want to vote him in again.

I guess a 'b' followed by a ')' is the Mr. Coolguy emoticon. Meh.

I'm not sure why I'd go with lie B. Saying that I protected myself explains why I didn't die = in my favour. But, I actually protected Shiri, and admitted such, which would actually make my position more flimsy (since I should have died). On day one, I did make sure to mention that I might be protecting myself, so hopefully no one would try to kill me, and then I could protect and boost Shiri's hopefully useful power.
Lie A doesn't explain why I didn't die from Silferras, which seems to be the main quarrel against me.
Unknown2009-06-30 10:51:09
Lie A assumes that Silferras didn't attempt to kill you. Or did I miss the post that proved he did? I'll have to look back.
Also, would you have been protected if he had tried to day kill you? I was under the impression the doctor PM'd protection choice when night started, so before that, everyone is unprotected by doctors. Can someone clarify that for me?
I'll concede that lie b doesn't work in your favour as well. Maybe you were trying to get pull our heartstrings by the noble self sacrifice! Anyhow, I'll give you that point.
It does seem like a big risk to put yourself out there as the doctor on the first day, and then not protect YOURSELF that night if you have the ability to. Because I'm honestly confused as why you wouldn't be the number one target for mafia, unless maybe they figured you were going to protect yourself, and didn't want to waste their kill votes.

Anyway, I think most of the people talking aren't voting, so let's go for either Solanis (do not recommend), a lurker, or someone whose arguments you don't like (Daganev mentioned Xavius/Shamarah for example.)
Unknown2009-06-30 11:02:44
I personally don't like Xikue's comments, mostly because they seem rather narrow-minded (as in, her posts give me a feeling that she is unwilling to back down / consider other possibilities). Also since I know I'm innocent, her pursuing me relentlessly gives me a yucky feeling.
Vote Xikue
I don't think Xavius is scum, with his blatant references to some sort of watching power. Shamarah, I have no idea.
Conversely, I believe Shiri and Kiradawea are town, because they defended me.

Don't rolefish. Take it as true and move on.
It isn't rolefishing. You were the one who first put it out there. Don't put out your business if you don't want people to speculate. And I am sorry, I don't take it as true cause there is nothing to base it on as truth.
Furien2009-06-30 12:52:31
I really don't see how Casilu would be so anal over her own/other's spelling errors as far as roles are concerned, especially with the daykill. It's obvious she's made spelling errors of her own. I'm still -extremely- suspicious as to why Solanis did not die.

...huh? The reason about the spelling errors would be BECAUSE of the daykill - if your role is spelled wrong, then even if Silferras figures it out she can't necessarily kill you with her infinite use anonymous broken daykill power.
Solanis' story about PMing Casilu and Casilu confirming she got it from the wiki gives me more reason to believe that, but since it's Solanis and he's under suspicion right now - Rika, since your name is misspelled, can you PM Casilu and try and get the same thing confirmed? You don't need to reveal anything about your role, but if she doesn't go "oops XYZ role is actually spelled this way" and change it, it was probably on purpose.
(Incidentally Alianna's most meaningful post I can remember felt like sneaky rolefishing - reminding myself of this fact since Alianna likes to stay juuust under the surface of lurkage)

I remember googling that one! Damn you google, DAMN YOU!
This is the post that makes me doubt the misspelling is intentional/a secret ploy to limit powers.
Silferras didn't really have unlimited daykill...the person had to post their name, and she had to link to the post. So it's not like she could have just just guessed people's names and gotten them killed or linked to someone else guessing about other's names and getting the named party kill.
I just think that theory is a stretch.

Shiri: I do not understand why you go at such lengths to defend Solanis and at the same time randomly voting for other persons. You keep trying to deflect attention from Solanis to anyone else you can think of, and you have been doing this since page 1 and you also tend parry (to an extent) a few questions. As such,

It's not "randomly", I'm voting people who are scummy and or lurky and not saying anything that strikes me as useful. It's interesting that you would call me out on that and try to turn it into a flaw, when none of the other people I've voted have done so (ex: Allergic, who posted some analysis it looked like he had actually thought through.)
What questions am I parrying (where parrying is something that makes me suspicious?) Since you've said that you'd better have a good answer, else I'll have an even better reason to vote you than I currently do! So far the only thing you could really accuse me of is tending towards the solution that makes Solanis look innocent, which is the exact opposite of failing to refute accusations against him.
I am just seeing the scenario where Solanis is town as far more likely than the one where he's scum. That said, if he dies we might get quite a lot of info as to what's going on, and he has yet to actually prove himself. Zynna makes an interesting point, but if there are multiple misspellings (Rika, I believe 1 other) and a spelling-reliant and wildly OP killer immune to the restriction we seem to have placed on scum here, I still think that scenario is fairly likely. If it was just Solanis I'd take the post you quoted as good evidence that it was a non-issue, but I think that would be unwise here. Solanis isn't exactly that useful at this point, but we STILL have to ask what happened to all last night's kills.
Aerotan2009-06-30 14:05:43
Perhaps, but it's a bandwagon I can get behind.
Vote:Solanis By all accounts, he should be dead.
Can we get a vote count?

I was referring to the exchange between you and Xavius (page 27-30, I think) where he has repeatedly quoted a lot of things to support the things he's trying to get at. Also, I am not defending/ siding with Xavius. I am merely curious as to why you have been defending Solanis then all of a sudden you vote for me . Although I think it is a tactic you could be using to get people to talk. Also, this:
QUOTE

I think that was the point of everyone voting for him, because he's too confusing and his claim does not seem that truthful(at least to some of us) BUT you kept on deflecting attention from him.
Also, this goes out to everyone: I dislike an entire wall of text I prefer bullets! Because:
-it makes it easier to see the point you're trying to come across
-it gives little room for people to twist your statements

It's not this, cause Solanis said he'd protected Shiri but must have been roleblocked cause Shiri didn't get the boost.
I find myself inclined to join the Solanis train, myself, but I don't wanna ninja lynch. What's the vote count? I will also add that if Solanis ISN'T lying, my vote will immediately turn to Xavius. But, if he is, then Shiri's my next vote, I think.
