While we're waiting, I'm going to comment on how I've heard of not a single one of the characters these roles are based on until this game. Not one so far! Never even heard of my own! My fanfic fandoms are limited to: Starsky and Hutch (the 1970s TV version. Seriously laugh.gif ), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Harry Potter, Transformers (2007, RotF), Anne McCaffery's Pern books, Firefly/Serenity, the various Star Treks, Star Wars, Chuck, Buffy/Angel, Bones, House, Stephen King books, Alien Nation, X-Men, and a few others. Oh, and crossovers of all of the above.

Bleach is a cleaning agent, as far as I know. laugh.gif

I guess I should try to watch some more anime. Everytime I try though, I wind up disappointed and confused. The stories don't make a lot of sense! Maybe I've just had bad luck choosing ones to try. Someone recommend an anime that A. Makes sense and B. is good, please. biggrin.gif I wanna round out my dork resume some. laugh.gif

Though, traveling three years in a row to Las Vegas to attend a convention of Buffy the Vampire Slayer fans puts me firmly in the dork category, I think. laugh.gif

Try "The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi." That show is awesome in a can.

In a word 'Cartoon Network'. So far, everything that has come up is a show from there. Watch it late at night or on Saturday evenings.

You want her to watch the show that doesn't air in order and has the most WTF-inducing 1st episode ever in order to stop her being confused by anime? Smooth.

Some of the best anime just take figuring out, sadly. Ghost in the Shell, Paranoia Agent, Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu, etc.

Yeah... Ghost in the Shell. That was one I tried. I streamed a Ghost in the Shell movie on Netflix. IS there a coherent plot to it? Cause it all seemed so random and disjointed and nonsensical when I watched it. I couldn't figure out what the characters were even doing half the time or who any of them were. There was no character building. I just felt like I was dropped right in the middle of an ongoing thing and expected to know everyone. Which might work if I was a long-time fan or something, but sucked for me. I only got about halfway through before stopping it cause I was so bored I decided to go outside and read a book instead. laugh.gif

The movies are all artsy and make no sense. The series (Stand Alone Complex) doesn't explain itself or its premise at all for some reason (immersion?) so you have to watch the first three or so episodes to figure out what is going on, after that it is pretty philosophical but shouldn't go over your head.

We should probably take this to PMs though. ninja.gif

I saw Xiran posting earlier but interestingly she opted not to. I think we go after her if Balizar's claim is convincing.

I favor .hack//SIGN myself. That, Monster, and Full Metal Alchemist were the most coherent plots I've found thusfar in all the Anime I've watched. Granted, that's not much, but still.

And for the lulz, there's always Excell Saga, FLCL, and the like.

I'm going to wait to see what Bali does before I make any decisions, it's class today in about half an hour so I can watch a bit sometimes but can't comment til later.

I'll wait for confirmation of that being a power, but BIG FoS: Bali. Pheonix Wright is a game, not an anime. If nothing else he's set apart by that and that alone.

I see no reason to rule out Phoenix Wright. If there's anything I've learnt from Vix and Silferras in the past few months it's that there sure is a lot of phoenix wright doujinshi. noway.gif

OTOH, Balizar better not have ganked a townie or something. Bali if you are town please explain wtf you just did.
