One thing that strikes me as really bad, both Shaddus and Kira have posted since Cas made her deadline. Neither one of them has bothered to vote for anyone. Cas said that she would kill a random townie, not a random person, but a town. Scum would want that, and stall the vote. I'd switch my vote, but I doubt we have time to do one.

*Edit the above post*
I would switch my vote to either Shaddus or Kira.

Its before coffee, add Llandros to that list for the same reason, and since he does have a vote on him already. We have a deadline, a town will be killed and three people not voting after the mod has posted the deadline.
UNVOTE:
VOTE: Llandros.

I don't think we can get a full Llandros train before time is up and these clowns aren't responding any more just because there's a deadline in place than they were before.

Just because I'm curious - You mentioned about the deadline and such, but you chose to vote for the person who has 1/3 the required votes of another. I'm not particularly pushing for Xavius - it's honestly pretty hard to know who to trust in this game - but he already has six, so if we're deadline focused, he'd be the obvious choice.

Sorry, I'd be an idiot to actually vote for someone who vouched for me.

Well, I have had a vote on him since the 16th. Thats been four days. During those four days, he never got the required number for a lynch. If in 4 days we could not get up to eight, I highly doubt the next four or so hours left on the deadline will matter much. It does strike me though as very odd that with a deadline set by the mod, where the mod states she will kill a townie, Llandros, Shaddus and Kira have all posted since she made the deadline post, so they read it ... and never bothered/made an attempt/did anything useful to make sure the deadline didn't take place. Scum don't have to worry about the deadline ... they are not on the hitlist for dying. Town is.
Dugan2009-07-20 15:49:43
And ... the only reason I voted for Llandros over Shaddus or Kira, Llandros already had one vote on him ... Shad and Kira were still at zero. And Shad, looks kinda scummy that you finally decided to vote after being called out on it ... you don't vote for anyone who already has a vote count going, you just throw a vote out there for someone who had zero votes going ... still sort of like, I'm contributing ... but not really doing anything.

Ok, in some bizaro universe where i was an investigator, things would have played out like this.
Night 1 - xavius - roleblocked
Night 2 - xavius - roleblocked
Night 3 - kira - who i belive is town
Night 4 - shaddus - who i know is Mello and i belive is town
However, this is not a bizaro universe and i make no power or role claims of any kind.
Seeing Shaddus lynched would be good for me since it would verrify his name but I can't bring myself to vote for him for purely selfish reasons.
Vote Xavius Unfortunately, I don't think we'll get enough momentum for anyone else at this point.

Considering the different timezones people are in, I highly doubt it, too. Hell, I don't even know if Xavius will get the 8th vote before the time runs out.
Dugan2009-07-20 16:30:59
That puts Xavius at 6.

Look, Casi! A page of posts! Eight hour extension, plz?
Really, hitting a deadline or lynching a random townie (i.e. me) are both losing situations here.
Shiri's actually being reasonable about this, soooo...
I'm a variant of the paranoid gun owner. This is how I could tell you that Silferras was not targeting Solanis. Silferras died because Silferras tried to kill me. It's not unlimited, and there are situations in which the roleblocking component of my bombs will give out and I end up nightkilled. I have the limited ability to forgo my protection to actively kill someone, but unlike Dylara, I don't believe in indiscriminately killing townies. My best value to the town was to try to draw as much fire as possible (such as implying that I had a tracking ability) while not claiming or inspiring anyone on the town to target me. It hasn't worked out so well, unfortunately.
Anyways, now I've pretty much guaranteed that I won't get targetted by scum, so y'all can go ahead and consider me a townie from this point on.

Stupid no edit rule. Vanilla townie, that should be.

Well then, with time not being on our side, i propose we lynch a VT or survivor.
Interestingly enough, we have a de-facto VT with 6 votes on him.

Hey, look, triple post.
So ok, I acknowledge that I'm a safer loss than, say, Dugan. We want a lynch rather than risking the confirmed investigator, and if I really need to take this one for the team, so be it. Anyways, it seems like no matter how much I ride y'all for running around like cattle, you don't stop doing it. It really seems like the best we can get out of the people who're awake is guessing the mod. Paying attention, analyzing posts, looking for patterns, that's what this game is about. The difference between scum and town is that the scum know who each other are, but they're a minority. The scum win by not getting lynched. All else being equal, the town eventually loses for simply failing to guess right, and people very rarely notice the absence of information. This is why scum tend to get lurky. (Not accusing Shaddus here, just saying. I'm starting to warm up to the idea of Llandros being clueless town, though, which leaves us in a tough spot for a quick lynch.)
So, rather than berate you all some more, let's have a mafia exercise! Who defended who? Who backed out of a lynch right before the lynch happened? If you talk lots and stop following people you think know what they're doing, maybe Casilu won't drop the deadline hammer.

Wrong method. The only thing that'll do is make people want to vote for you to get rid of you. Regardless of how beneficial people may or may not be, the other players aren't likely to want to believe someone who insults them on a regular basis.
(And yeah, I know it doesn't take ten hours to write that. Usually. It does when you write half before and half after work. )
