Subj: The Great Hunt and Double Experience!

Once again, a Great Hunt has been called across all of the Iron Realms
for the first weekend of July, with credit rewards aplenty for all. The
Hunt will last from Friday, July 3rd at 5pm PDT to Sunday, July 5th at
5pm PDT. During this Great Hunt, you will also enjoy double experience!

Here's how it works: for every NPC/mobile/denizen you slay or influence
during this time, you will gain points. The number of points range from
1-10 depending on the level of the denizen. You will receive bound
credits at certain level thresholds: 5 at 100 points, 10 at 1000 points,
and 15 at 2500 points.

Furthermore, at the end of the Hunt, the top ten hunters with the
highest scores will receive unbound credit prizes in these amounts:

1st place: 500 credits
2nd & 3rd place: 250 credits each
4th - 10th place: 100 credits each

Come ready to hunt until your collective hearts explode!

Well crap, I'm going to be out of town all Saturday and probably drunk on Sunday.

If you aren't either a Demigod, have some bubblixes, or both, you won't place that high in this.

I'm sure you, like almost everyone not me, could use the double XP, though.

I'm not in it for the credits, I'm in it for the double xp. Just have to organize with all the demi's I do know.

Actually, that made me think. If you're squaded, I'm assuming only killing blow counts, yes?

Didn't have squads before, but yes, even in groups it was only killing blow that counted.

It's pretty much going to be Vathael first, Ceren/Viynain/Shuyin/Thoros working for second and third.

Don't get me wrong, the double xp and 15 bound credits are nice...but I just dislike "rich getting richer" events.

I'm going to have a guest over so I can't participate in this. Maybe enough to get the 5 bound credits... but I doubt I'll get up towards 1000 points. Unless they've made it so that isn't almost impossible for people with a life.

I would have loved this (for the increased xp alone, let alone the chance at prizes), but I'll be out of town. Hopefully there will be another one soon!

In the first hunt, when all mobs were only worth 1 point, it took some effort to get to 1000 or even 2500 points, as it was in the last and is in this Great Hunt, it's not so much of a problem, I think. I remember Shallach knights being worth 3 and troopers 5 points, so that alone would be 110 points, if you're only aiming for 100. Quinotaurs were 3, too, for around 150 total. 1000 will take a while, but with the double xp, should be worth it without too much of a hassle.

Bubblixes aren't really that useful for this, too few mobs there. You want huge amounts of things to kill for hours and hours; best for that are catacombs, Muud, Astral.

Fun. Will I get level 87 from this?

This brings back memories of that double xp week we had from getting kongregate to 4 stars. That was a fun week of bashing. I think I got like 3 levels, in the 80's. Could have done more if not for school.

I'll be on a camping trip during this weekend, and I haven't been that active lately anyway. But double experience is nifty nonetheless!

It'd be great other than the fact that I probably won't have anywhere to bash.

I expect Vathael to Monolith the entirety of Catacombs again.

Evaine, Jozan and Jozen seem to do a pretty good job of keeping the Asylum clear when I'm around.

And people should be in Shallach once again.

Makes you wonder how small my circuit is.

But otherwise, wishing everyone else has great fun with it.

This only worked for the Death event because it was so short. Definitely not feasible to keep it mono-ed for 48 hours.

Oh great, NOW I won't have an excuse anymore not to get off my behind to bash to demi. I won't hear the end of it.




Yay double exp!

I think there should be a player appreciation week once a year where we get double xp.

Question, where does the double multiplier hit? So with a harmony blessing would you be getting 210% or 220%?
