QUOTE
The Iron Key to the Infernal Machine clicks and clanks with a cacophony of mechanical noises, a trickle of crimson blood streaming from one of the eye sockets for a moment.

Yay for still being in my buffer.
Unknown2010-01-01 07:06:10
And for a final touch...

QUOTE
You insert the Iron Key to the Infernal Machine into the air and turn. The sound
of grinding gears and squealing wheels reverberates through the air, as an
enormous iron doorway materializes around the key. Black oily smoke leaks out of
the doorway as you open it and step through.

Now you just need that much for the other orgbixes. biggrin.gif

Could someone PM me or post the descriptions of the Czigany Wayfaire shows please? Not looking for how to do them but I'm worried I won't have enough time to solve them before they leave with my weak character, and I think I have a great idea for a library submission.

Please?

QUOTE
Shining brightly, the Flame of dae'Seren is a small white blossom that burns with the blue fires of Glinshari, and yet is not consumed. The pure white petals fan out to a full circle, forming a bowl in which the wisps of flame dance and flicker. Here and again, a blue-white stag leaps with the moving flames, bursting into a crescent of silvery light that illumes the surroundings above the flames' normal glow. A thin silver chain is looped through the base of the blossom, allowing for the Flame to be carried or worn about the neck.

QUOTE
You hold the Flame of dae'Seren aloft and an emerald light shines forth, revealing a hazy hallway of ancient trees. You walk through the hallway, feeling the ancestral spirits welcome you.

QUOTE
You slip into the Flame of dae'Seren.
As you slip into the Flame of dae'Seren, the blossom flares a soft blue amid the sound of ancient voices, enwreathing you in light.

QUOTE
You remove the Flame of dae'Seren.
As you remove the Flame of dae'Seren, the blossom flares brilliant blue for a moment before subsiding in a chorus of soft ancient whispers.

QUOTE
Halls of the Spirits.
Superimposed over this location, an ethereal forest reaches up to the sky. Enormous trees with emerald crowns make up the pillars of these great halls, bearing a domed amber ceiling that rests upon the trees' branches. There is an open-air feel, as soft breezes pass through the echoing spaces of the hall, carrying with them the sounds of voices, male and female, young and old. Upon the trees are carven figures of great beasts and brave heroes past, larger than life and solemn in bearing. Blue flames rise from the ground throughout: warm, yet not consuming. They enwreath the halls in their gentle glow, and within the flames, faint figures drift in and out of sight, both gay and sorrowful, bright of eye. In many directions, the branches of the tall trees bend to form archways veiled with flames, beyond which distant planes can be seen.

I'll get the ambients when I'm able

Fingerblade stuff

QUOTE
Ancient wood and warped pieces of metal twist together in a chaotic spiral of
patterns and designs to form the bulk of this fingerblade. Thin strips of metal
have been deftly worked into the wood, twisting and turning into runes and
sigils of forgotten power. The blade itself juts out to just past the fingertip,
the gleaming edge ending in a menacingly sharp point.

QUOTE
You remove the Fingerblade of dha'Wyrden-cree.
With a vicious yank, you manage to pry the Fingerblade of dha'Wyrden-cree from
your finger.

QUOTE
You slip into the Fingerblade of dha'Wyrden-cree.
The runes engraved in the Fingerblade of dha'Wyrden-cree suddenly flare to life
you place it on your finger, causing a small shock to run up your arm.

QUOTE
You draw the Fingerblade of dha'Wyrden-cree across the inside of your wrist,
causing a line of blood to well up. You then lift the blade into the air, as
shadows spill out of the wet crimson tip, swarming around you and taking you to
the Realm of Shadows.

QUOTE
The Realm of Shadows.
Ravenwoods and blackthorns spread out from a cleared circular area in every
direction. A canopy of battling branches twist together overhead, scattering the
little available light into a twilit gloom. The grass below is cool to the
touch, and littered with thorny vines and sharp broken branches. Tendrils of
shadow pass through and around the trees, the waves of inky blackness seeming to
move like a living creature. The air warps and distorts in every direction,
revealing glimpses of locations within and near the Glomdoring.
You see exits leading north, northeast, southeast, southwest, northwest, up, and
down.

And mob reactions on room entry:

QUOTE
Gwyllgi, the Dog of Darkness turns towards you, bowing his head in your
direction.

The bloody mist surrounding Glumki Thorneye, King of the Redcaps swirls
violently as he bows his head towards you.
Glumki Thorneye, King of the Redcaps says, "Dark Savant, have you come to bring
me fae?"

Lhiannan Shee-Slaugh's black hair swirls around her as she curtseys gracefully
before you.
Lhiannan Shee-Slaugh says, "You stand before the Queen of the Slaugh, Dark
Savant. What is it you seek?"

Brennan Stormcrow cocks his head to one side, looking you over with an
appraising stare.
Brennan Stormcrow exclaims, "Mighty Crow has his eye upon you, Dark Savant!"

Rowena Nightshade turns towards you, bowing her head politely.
Rowena Nightshade says, "Mother Night's favour is upon you, Dark Savant."

This is true. But why do you get a flame. You're wearing a piece of fire. It's freaking -awsome-. I want sad.gif

A golden belt of enlightenment.

I'm not too crazy about the fingerblade myself (really, BT got rid of the sicklecut emote to remove a certain image, now we get -this-?), but the extra reactions are neat. No one in Mag cares if you have the key.

Ambiance message for fingerblade:

QUOTE
Shadows swirl around your arm as the Fingerblade of dha'Wyrden-cree digs itself
more painfully into your finger.

Still need mantle, belt, and mandala.
Nott2010-01-15 04:17:51
The Belt and Mandala are already posted on the forums, they should be in the "Return of Gaudiguch and Hallifax" thread. But I will post the mandala here regardless!

QUOTE
A masterpiece of crystal workings, unrivaled by the Master Artists of Hallifax, the Quintessential Mandala of Resplendent Harmony positively glows with a steady, prismatic beauty. Elegantly simple fractal patterns run along the outer rim of the circular mandala, alternating through a variety of coloured crystals and gemstones. Twisting inwards in a delightful array of whimsical lines and swirls, the colours shift into olivine, magnolia, ebony, cerulean, carnelian and persimmon, delicate and innumerable geometric formations slowly progressing inwards still. At its core, twelve gemstones - opal, onyx, sapphire, ruby, turquoise, jade, beryl, emerald, garnet, bloodstone, amethyst and diamond repeat in a simple yet aesthetically pleasing fractal display, surrounding six swirling designs of three colours, each representing one of the Sculptures of Harmony. A simple thread of translucent crystal has been threaded through the top of the gemstone mandala, allowing it to be worn about the neck, while long silvery plumes are set about the mandala, two on each side, lending it an exotic, avian beauty.

And now: WANTED: MEDALLION DESCRIPTIONS superninja.gif
Rika2010-01-19 19:53:01
The Medallion of Nature is an ornate setting within which rests a miniaturized replica of the Seal of Nature. Runes are etched around its rim that glow with an inner power. In the center of the seal is the image of a pair of feet, delicate and grass stained. Disturbingly, the toes on the feet sometimes wriggle or occasionally one foot taps as though impatient. The medallion thrums with a lifeforce that makes the very air around it blur.

They pretty much look like their respective seals other than the first and last sentences, I think.

Also, why don't we get cool ambiance/wear/remove messages with the Mandala? sad.gif

Surrounded by a nimbus of multicoloured light, the Medallion of Chaos floats a few feet above the ground here.

The Medallion of Chaos is an ornate setting within which rests a miniaturized replica of the Seal of Chaos. Runes are etched around its rim that glow with an inner power. In the center of the seal is the image of a mouth, which is slightly opened revealing a tongue that changes through the colours of the rainbow. Disturbingly, the mouth sometimes smirks, and the tongue suddenly darts out. The medallion thrums with a lifeforce that makes the very air around it blur.
It weighs about 2 pounds and 4 ounce(s).

You don't even get a title with your Epic Quest.
Zallafar2010-01-20 01:10:10
The Medallion of Justice is an ornate setting within which rests a miniaturized replica of the Seal of Justice. Runes are etched around its rim that glow with an inner power. In the center of the seal is the image of an open hand with the palm facing outwards. Disturbingly, the hand occasionally moves, sometimes slowly shifting perpendicular and bobbing as though weighing an invisible burden. The medallion thrums with a lifeforce that makes the very air around it blur.
