No, I can't tell you who is a townie you can trust, when you think about it.
For all appearances, I seem to be a cult. All you have is my word that I'm town and my openness of the fact that I have a cult mechanic.
Ergo, you'll only have my word that this person I 'out' as a townie is actually a townie. It only serves to bring more stress and suspicion on them. Maybe I'll out people when I have one or two so that my death won't be in vain, but for now I really want to leave it up to them while I think about how to proceed.
Considering it's only 'they're town' that people find out, their powers won't be in any danger, which is good. But I still want to leave it up to them.

The idea of a cult still makes me nervous, I know there can be pro-town ones but at the same time they can be rather dangerous to a town.

I would see a cult as a bigger threat than before, as there are three unknowns in the original count. It still leaves room for a survivor, but who else? Vigs tend to wind with the town so they wouldn't be one of those three.
