Well, I do believe he was talking about people who actually are useful in Glomdoring... So why would I even begin to think Desitrus? Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying anything bad about him, he's a great fighter and all, but... I've never seen him in a defense or offense raid... or anywhere except in his manse.

Edit: But then again, I've only been back for a month or so, so maybe he did something amazing while I was still gone. Unlikely though.

That's because when Desitrus shows up to defend, they stop the raid out of fear.

Desitrus killed someone while he was a maggot. Amazing!

Better than doing nothing the whole time I played, Bardmore.

Since I don't feel like starting a new topic, I plan on coming back and being all active again. As a Trill, would the cacophony or cantors work out more for me with the skills and what not and all that.
Llandros2009-07-27 14:16:00
Cacophony would be the way to go. However, Cantors and Celest are in a bit of a rebuilding phase so if that's something that wold appeal to you i'm sure they'd welcome the help though.

Yes, we need bards. :]

Oh... nother question. What ever happened with that whole Starhymn special envoy thingy. Was searching the wiki to compare skills and what not to help me decide...

No, Cacophony sucks. There has been one mildly successful Cacophone since the major bard damage nerf....and that was me. In all honesty, I wasn't all that successful, but every cacophone since then has been irrelevant in nearly all combat situations.

A large part of that is due to the fact that Cacophony and Cantors and leaps and bounds behind Harbingers. Spiritsingers continue to be one of the most OP guilds in the game, but Mag has turned its envoy nerf hatred from the SS to Glomdoring.

edit: I forgot Narsrim was a bard now. I've never actually seen him fight as one, but I'm sure he does well.

As far as Cacophony, Narsrim jumped me in Astral, alone a couple weeks back and to be quite honest, I am far from a combatant andwas near retard mode against him, but he was more of a neussance then a real threat. I ran because it was boring and couldn't figure a way to kill him. I died to mobs on astral because they were more dangerous then he was. Considering it's Narsrim I'd assume the Caocophony skills just suck.

narsrim isn't a great example to judge over all effectiveness of a guild. Just...if a guild has skills that can be exploited/abused.
