Funny thing is that you can: Transverse to ethereal from the rift on prime, go to an archway, transverse to elemental, go from the archway to either a permarift or to a nexus, transverse cosmic. Presto!
Stupid question: how do you use a rift?
Furien2010-10-14 00:40:49
Transverse X, where X is the plane the rift leads to. You can SURVEY a room to determine what plane the rift in the room leads to.
(And yes, the whole thing was a protracted joke about how he has no clue about planar physics.)

Thanks. I'm a mage IG. I've never had to use a rift.

Farheal; spreading agony faster than a Nifilhema convention since 100CE
Lawliet2010-10-14 08:28:39
Hehe, yeah. Never had that close of a call, only really used it to heal slivveners when I'm locked in, that makes it slightly more dangerous

Wait, with farheal you basically take the damage they had?
Aerotan2010-10-14 13:05:50
No. Farheal costs ego. Healing someone else of lost HP is what takes your health. Farheal to cure affs just costs ego.

Also, running out of ego while healing leads to healer burnout, which is only marginally better than Psi burnout. Unless it costs you xP too. Then it's worse. (1 hr vs. 45 minutes+XP equivalent to a neutral prime death.)

If the healer doesn't have the Vitality aura, then yes, they can die from overhealing, as they heal 1/3rd of the targets max health with their own health.
Or... that's what I heard, but that seems wrong when looking at Vadi. Unless Sidd had over 15k health somehow.

Vadi2010-10-14 19:32:13
Yeah, I did heal a third of his health, but there is also a 1/3rds heal ratio loss.

Namegen lucidian male. For when you need a name, and your imagination is just not entertaining enough.

Just make it Oxk'ok and it'll be totally kosher.
