Yes, by 'jesus christ man' I meant 'never. ever. stops.'

I had about the same reaction on coming back. You return expecting to see a few familiar faces, but I think Xenthos has burnout-immune as a racial ability or something.
Yeah, I'm backish. Writing bug hits me every so often, and this place has always been good for that mojo, and then I start getting into things and then somehow I'm five levels up and sporting a new enemy status.
Anyway. Kinda wondering what happened to Bashara, Valarien, and Shulgin from way back. Also, Pantoo, one of the first people to greet me starting up as a young Ebonguard.
I'd've added Ashteru and Veyda if I hadn't just run into them both a little while back. Made my day a bit.

When I started playing Lusternia around two and half years ago (8-April 07) Xenthos was Ebonguard. I took a two year break, and when I returned lo and behold everything and everyone had changed but Xenthos is still kicking around.
As I like to quip, "People come and go, but Glomdoring/Xenthos is forever"

So what's your secret to years upon years of activity?

- One thing you could try is gift a credit purchase to someone you trust and transfer the credits over to an alt. Then you'll have no choice but to keep active. Do or die!
- Ah yes, Daganev you were guildmaster when I started but since then you've ascended to forum god and become the mysterious guild archivist who is -never- around.
- Then there is Ashteru, who crafted my first axe which I might have used for all of two days. He's also something of an enigma and appears to have commited hari-kari.
- There was Hyrtakos, who I think was guild champion at the time but has gone AWOL.
- Veyda was GA at the time. I saw him a few days ago but I think he's mostly a ghost.
Times change and we change with them.
Back then, Rael was female.... I was a bit of a goofball before I sold my soul to Computer Science and wanted to create the silliest possible character combination which was female mugwump warrior. I continue to live with my mistakes.... I'm not sure why I was so resilient and continued to log in once every few months but it might have due to the fact that I really like mudding, wanted to understand/try an IRE mud, and completed the two Newton honours quest and didn't want my hard work go down the drain. 1000 hours of play time later I look back at myself and say 'I'm an idiot'! I even naively messaged the admin for a gender swap because we didn't have Bubbles of Gender Switching back then. Anyways if it weren't for the kindness/patience of a few certain people such as my mentor, the nameless Guides and even the Oneiroi I would have given up out of frustration because Lusternia is a pretty complicated game and that is the story about why I care about novices.

One has to wonder if they ever take those off and wash them.

Now that I have a job and family, it's not so possible.

I miss playing Madach. It's been over a year now. And yet, awoken by the emergence of Midkemia Online and having spoken to a few over there who play Lusty, I have a strange urge to wake him up from his long slumber.
Those were the days... the filthy, diseased and indecipherable days...

I was thinking of coming back to Lusternia for a bit but after reading this thread - and noone remembering / mentioning me - I don't think I can stomach it! My ego, she's too small!
(Hi. I'm back for a while. If you remember who I am.)

No idea who Morik is/was.
And, Iasmos has been playing regularly since day one of the game going public. Always something interesting to see and do here!

Who are you? There were at least a dozen people working on the ACP.

My best guess is Erikarn, for some reason.
