So, I'm currently being trained for a front desk job at the Holiday Inn Express in town. When I answer the phone, I have to say what this thread title is.
What I'm curious about is, has anyone ever called a business and received one of these idiotic greetings, and felt welcomed, or all happy about it? Because ever time I've run into it, it didn't make a damn difference on how I felt about the company or the person answering.
So, what's the point? Does this give any of you the warm and fuzzies, or how does it make you feel?

It depends on the day for me. Most of the time it's just annoying to wait for you to get finished. But some days if I'm in a bad mood, I enjoy hearing you say your big long speech, because I know that with every single word you utter for the billionth time you feel like a little portion of your soul is escaping out of your mouth.
