How many votes is that on Kiradawea?

Not counting twilight, five I think.

Hmm, ok. If she's going to be the lynch then I'm going to hold off. If she's got a last word or any sort of protection I probably have the best chance of surviving.

I don't see how that affects whether or not you vote. If anything, you can vote with confidence in your immunity.

Well, was assuming things like that would go off on the last person to vote. Not like we've seen a last word yet (I don't think we have, this game is sort of confusing.) and that is how similar things often work.
Unknown2009-09-11 15:59:56
That's a pretty good point. Wonder if Last Words work differently, since Ran's fired late and gave the following message:
Not even sure what that's doing, though I hope something good. Mmm.. I don't think Lorick needs to confirm himself via a spellcard battle, but it would be optimal for a pair comprising either Zynna, AtS, or Shaddus to challenge each other. If not, well, we have our next pressure targets.
Xikue, just to clarify, do you actually know Llandros's role, or are you just playing on lore and his card/claim? And does anyone else feel like Kira.. sounds like she's coming back and/or going to do something nasty to town on lynch?

A Spell Card falls from the sky, bearing the insignia of Ran Yakumo. It flares brilliantly, then fades away, leaving a faint sparkling aura throughout the area.

I'm relying on lore and his card "Deadly Dance."
Zynna2009-09-11 16:32:33
Silferras, what is your basis for being suspicious of me? I already explained why Llandros is suspicious and other people confirmed the suspected Llandros lie which you doubted.
Not sure why you're trying to force a roleclaim.

Because Llandros is Yuyuko, leader for the region of the Gates of Hakugyokurou. He never lied. He said:

I purposely used a card that was the least obvious indicator of my role. Looks like it paid off, for me at least.
I win with the town and have no day or night kill abilities. In fact, if i had any power role i would have declined all together.

Which was a mistake due to not knowing Touhou lore -- not a lie -- because Deadly Dance is unique to Yuyuko. The vast majority of Touhou spells are unique to a particular player.
He's not suspicious, just not a Touhou maniac.
Lorick2009-09-11 16:58:31
I wouldn't worry about Othero. I'm not making the same mistake as last time. I roleblocked her last night, which is what you saw, but I'm not limited to doing so at night. I also have another power that procs when I roleblock, but I'll leave it unsaid for now since we might catch some more scum in that web.

We need anyone else carded Xikue?
Lorick2009-09-11 17:02:59
Oh, Daganev, nice job with the perfectly timed day. I was getting worried.
Lorick2009-09-11 17:08:44
Oh Kira, only one stopping you is a rabbit. That says something.

Of course, seeing that Lorick was a 'peeping tom' at Kiradawea explains why he's been going after her... he learned something bad and didn't want to reveal yet. So I feel more confident about a vote on Kiradawea now. (But yes, my next target, unless something else more compelling comes up, is still Llandros)
I find this a little curious. Is this really all the reasoning you are using behind your vote, without taking anything else into account? Not that it is terrible reasoning necessarily, I just find it intriguing when put in conjunction with a little observation I made gleaning over the first post of the thread.
Lorick2009-09-11 17:12:25
Yeah, I plan to go back for her shortly. I've been preaching to a choir for forever but no one was listening. Gah, it was obvious to me.
Unknown2009-09-11 17:37:34
Before we lynch someone, we should probably use up the other danmaku battle of the day.
Unknown2009-09-11 17:40:39
Oops, forgot that I voted for her during twilight, not today. Vote: Kiradawea, that should put us at 7.

Here is where my confusion on Llandros comes from.
There is a spell card battle where Llandros uses Deadly Dance.
Then Furien speculates that Llandros is Yuyuko :
QUOTE (Furien @ Aug 27 2009, 08:49 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
So, if my speculation is right, Llandros is Yuyuko (unsure) and Othero is Mokou (fairly sure).
Yuyuko has the power to 'invoke death in humans' whenever she wants, though she takes the power very seriously, so there's probably a daykill power somewhere in there.

That is when Llandros indicates that he is not Yuyuko:

I take that to mean that Llandros is saying that it paid off in that the guesses on his role were incorrect. That is, he is not Yuyuko.
Yet those with knowledge of Touhou (and I am not one of them) are saying Deadly Dance is a good indicator that he is in fact Yuyuko, which would then mean he was lying.

There is an extensive wiki here that includes all the cards. "Deadly Dance" in the search bar only pulls up Yuyuko. You can find any spellcaster by putting the name of the spell within quotes.
Llandros probably has more descriptive-sounding cards, but he didn't know they're all equally telling.

That part I understand, that he thought it was the least telling. But if you reread the quotes above, Furien says that he is Yuyuko. Llandros then writes, after Furien says who he is, that Llandros choose the least descriptive spellcard to not reveal his role *and that it worked*. Meaning, by implication, that he isn't Yuyuko.
