As Serella and Othero enter the fight, the tide finally starts to turn against Kiradawea. She tries to force her way forward, but to no avail as several members of the group manage to subdue and restrain her. She strains and fights to break free, but is unable to do so as Yukari and Reimu move forward to handle the situation, placing a charm firmly upon her forehead that begins to shine with a brilliant light.
"AHH, YOU'LL PAY!! YOU'LL ALL PAY!!" Kiradawea then begins shaking uncontrollably as a ghostly figure rips its way out of her body and flees into the sky. Yukari attempts to open a gap in its path, but it manages to get away and soon escapes beyond sight. Turning back to Kiradawea, now revealed as Yuka Kazami, they sense that her power has diminished greatly, and all she is able to do now is attempt to catch her breath.
"What should we do with her?" Reimu turned to Yukari as the Youkai of Borders stepped up in front of Yuka and pointed at the ground beneath her.
"I'll keep her in a safe place until this is done. We're not finished yet. Not until we find and catch Mima." With these words, Yukari then opened a gap beneath Yuka, allowing her to fall inside with an echoing scream of rage before closing it again and restoring silence to the shrine grounds.
After Yuka disappears, a single spell card falls from the sky, then begins to glow with a malevolent red aura. The group does not have time to respond before a torrent of danmaku streams from the center of the card, spreading across the entire area...
A bullet strikes Zynna directly in the chest, piercing through with lethal effect. She is dead before she hits the ground.
Another bullet seeks another victim in Furien as it curves toward its target with unerring aim, but he is able to narrowly graze the lethal projectile and emerge unscathed.
One final bullet is aimed directly at Yukari's heart, but just before it hits, the ethereal spectre of Ran Yakumo shimmers into existence in front of her master and the bullet is aptly deflected. Ran turns back to smile at her master one last time before fading away.
