This means we have to lynch you, regardless of what you bring up because we will never be certain you had a power/way around it.

Fair enough. I don't even expect people to come defend me now either, since that would look scummy in and of itself, if Mima really needs to kill me personally for whatever reason.

Just don't push things until you're ready to move along.
Lorick2009-09-15 03:46:37
I don't believe Mima needs the ying yang orbs by the way. Least, not from you. If she knew who you were it would of been much safer to just kill you for the orbs with the untraceable night kill than attempt for territory control. So I'm betting it's a lie, and while there may be certain townie's Mima needs, you aren't one of them if we follow your theory that the mafia knows more about our roles than we do abou them.
Furien2009-09-15 03:52:21
There's a chance the orbs are what would protect Reimu from the night kill or possession in general.

My theory on the second win condition is that she needs BOTH. So either:

1. Mafia makes up the majority of the remaining players
2. Mima possesses the orbs and has all locations destroyed

We also do not know if a nightkill is possible right after the one currently possessed by Mima is slain. Mima might need to spend a full night moving on to her next most convenient host. So for all intents and purposes, there might not have even been an actual nightkill attempt yet.

As a sidenote, I'm not trying to defend myself here. What I am trying to do is keep you talking, along with everyone else, so that when things come to pass you might have a clearer idea of what is really going on. Even if you decide not to lynch me, I might be the priority target this coming night, so it's best if I do as much as I can with what time I have.

Mima's abilities were divided into various subsections. The Night kill was seperate from the other actions. My guess would be the immunity/territory control/whatever actions would be under Mima's Spirit. It is my belief that anyone hosting Mima has immediate access to the Nightkill, standard mafia grandfather with a nice untraceable component to make up for all the townie powers.

Agreed.

To be honest, and the mafia didn't know this at the start either, with all the deadly last words present the mafia might of been more effective going for kills since each lynch seems to result in three kill attempts. Last night was only blocked in part because of Ran and Furien's ability to avoid death. Least, that is my feelings on it.
Daganev2009-09-15 04:05:59
unvote

Who hasn't claimed yet?

I'll wait for everyone to claim before I vote. Apparently I was wrong about that.

Daganev2009-09-15 04:06:57
Also, I'm curious as to why I'm still alive smile.gif
Lorick2009-09-15 04:07:08
We don't need everyone to claim.

Mafia couldn't know that for sure. We don't know what our last words do. Or I don't, at least, anymore than I know the power level of my normal spell cards. Ran's Last Word seemed to be an evokation of protection. I'm not even sure if you can call specific targets for the actions, or if they're chosen at random. Makes them pretty scary/unstable.
Lorick2009-09-15 04:07:58
Well, it might be because of who I've been roleblocking if we've only had one nightkiller active. With Celina around, if people start turning up dead, a lynch might be in order.
Lorick2009-09-15 04:10:59
Anyways, I have class in the morning. Night everyone.

You should still get them anyways. Then, as the days go on, confirm every claim possible with spellcard duels. By not doing this, you are believing that there are no characters out there that might look scummy simply by virtue of their identity, and you can see if anyone is lying and hoping that they'll never be made to confirm.
Lorick2009-09-15 04:16:44
No one is going to claim without a threat backing it up. I've been down this road before with Last Words, and that was on the people who had already claimed. I'm also not letting it get near a lynch someone else to just force a claim anyways when we have better suspects. In my mind, the only person who should have votes is Vendetta, and our two spell card battles should be used on those whom have voiced support for Kira, mainly Sabre. The other should go to someone who hasn't revealed anything. If an obvious scum comes up in those spell card duals, then we can let off of Vendetta to pursue them if neccessary. If not, we should lynch Vendetta for past behaviour. Any attempt to divert that course makes me suspicious considering the only new information added has been in support of your lynch Vendetta.

If you argue enough for it, I think they will. I have presented good reason for people to. At the very least, if scum lie about their identities in the process to hide themselves a while longer, you will eventually find them via spellcard duel. If some refuses to reveal even their name, that casts suspicion on them for another day. If you let it go... you hurt town.
Furien2009-09-15 04:22:51
It didn't mean anything in particular, I just had to cave into posting some sort of meme.
Lorick2009-09-15 04:23:49
I'm sure a few will, I know Silf was willing to for example. However, until we have confirmed the situation here nothing should divert the town's oh so short attention span. Forcing claims should only be done when there is a lack of suspects.
