...How and why am I showing scum? I lynched the damn godfather for crying out loud, Celina can't even be bothered to read the game, and Vendetta avocated keeping around said godfather. If I said "Eh, it's alright" that would be scummy.
Arix2009-09-16 06:31:39
if Celina has a daykill, why doesn't she just use it on Shaddus and then we can lynch Vendetta?
Arix2009-09-16 06:32:56
Also: Lorick, you are my Shaddus. It's probably from when you used to play mafia regularly and kept being scum
Lorick2009-09-16 06:33:16
Because she doesn't want to help the town. She wants to cripple it by killing anyone leading the charge. Because that sort of play would make sense and be proper for a townie.
Lorick2009-09-16 06:36:07
That's fine, you and I have had some fun games, but I wouldn't be putting myself out here like this unless I was pretty sure about this. And I'm sure you felt the same way if you went out of your way to save me. Hell, I'm one of the few people to claim powers and role. I've pressed for lynching Kira since day one. Celina has.. Attempted to kill that person. It just frustrates me that we are getting "stuck" in this situation just like the town wouldn't make a move on kira for ages.

Ugh, Celina you of all people should know how to play mafia, but I guess I can humor the rest. Essentially, you will rarely have someone actually come out and say "I'm scum" or "I know so-and-so isn't". You aren't going to get hard solid defenses. Defending in mafia is misdirection and deflection, turning the conversation or thought of the town away from the current issue to another, since most townies tend to act like sheep and follow whatever line of thought is present at the time. Vendetta attempted to turn the town away from Kira and tried to buy her time. This isn't disputed this is a fact. Vendetta suggested that we leave a scum alive, confirmed scum mind you, under the logic we could use her against Mima. You don't leave scum standing in a mafia game, regardless of logic, and anyone advocating it needs to be put down. Scum don't suddenly become "tame", they have powers and the ability to kill the town. It was worse in this particular case because if we followed Vendetta's logic (which was wrong) we could eventually arrive at a double twilight. This made the suggestion even more off.
Speaking of you, the only time you attempted to kill me was after I resolved to press forward on Vendetta. Town, you are making a mistake here. Shaddus has been afk and is getting replaced. We have a scum right here, between Celina and Vendetta. I was right about Kira, and I'm right about this. Please don't make this mistake.

tl;dr. I just going to assume it's like all the other stuff you've been posting where you get pissed at me for calling you out and demanding you back up your finger pointing.

I've killed scum in a survivor role before. Doesn't mean much when a game, much like this one, has so many variables. Haven't several been speculating that there are 2 subgroups working against the town as well as survivors? I'm going to need more evidence, and like I said, you are proving detrimental to the town with your current series of "decisions."
And like I said, you look extremely scummy when you keep trying to hammer in the lies. I'm just sayin....
And no, I'm not going to touch Shaddus. There is zero reason to believe he is scum. He's just a vagrant body floating about the boards at this point. The Mod has said he's being replaced. Lorick's logic that I don't want to help the town by killing someone who isn't even here follows her trend of irrational behavior.

No. This is you twisting words, yet again. Celina reposted the relevant posts again. I'm sure every townie since has read them again. Maybe you should too.

Another twist of words. This wasn't even really a part of my argument. If we revealed Mima and Yuka on the same day, we would need to decide who to target for the lynch. You can't lynch two people in one day. On what basis could someone make that choice in such a way as to minimize the damage done to town? And if they both were revealed, might they try to kill each other if they were in opposing factions? Therein was my concern.

Okay, what? Town pushed the lynch. I revealed her, and before I revealed her, there was some hesitation all around in regards to pursuing her as scum. I think you might be grasping for too much credit in this instance.
Celina did read when pointed in the right direction.
I wanted to wait before we proceeded to see what else we could discover. We are fortunate in that we learned as much as we did today because I continued to stress many of the same points. It is unfortunate that the consequences have to be such, but I suppose that's all a part of the game.

I guess I need to defend my points, I shouldn't, but oh well.
Note there never was any information suggesting that Yuka would be empowered by Mima. And rather than take the practical approach with the bolded logic and lynch Yuka (Kira) we get....
Here, it is suggested that rather than follow his orginal logic we should leave Yuka around because of in order -
A. Can't lynch both at the same time (Note we only had one at the time, Yukra/Kira)
B. We need Yuka to spellcard battle Mima to win
C. Without Yuka (Kira, Mafia Godfather) Mima would have access to endless twilight (Like having two would of been better) and thus we should keep her around.
D. That it might be impossible for the town to lynch Mima
None of these are grounded in any sort of facts and act only to attempt to make the town pause on a self confirmed scum lynch. Also note he suggests we might want to consider letting out Flandre, a sociopath, here. This is the same sociopath whose first action since getting free has been to act at holding him accountable for these false points.
This was my reply to his pot of crock, and if you notice on the second bold I called the fact Kira and Mima were the same. I'm not scum, I've never acted in the interests of scum, and anyone voting for me should consider that. Vendetta has, unknowningly or knowingly, attempted to give a Mafia Leader an out, suggested the release of a homocidal murder, and once Celina was free suddenly become very agressive in argueing these points.
Celina herself did the following actions in order.
A. Immediately demand information pretaining to Vendetta and me, with the end result being acquiring information to be used to fight against me. It was an investigation with a foregone conclusion prior to it being made, and once finding said arguements her best one has been "NO, YOU ARE A LIAR." This isn't an arguement, this is a tantrum. And why use it? Because that is all there is.
B. Immediately threaten me if I did not stop pursueing Vendetta. I continued.
C. Attempt to kill me, which was stopped by Arix. This only occured when I refused to give in to her. Note Vendetta was not in any danger of a lynch at the time. He essentially has a murder working static for him, and attempts to paste me as scum. If he was truely town with the town's best interests at heart, he would be concerned about Celina's behaviour as well, released by mafia (She will not reveal who released her, most of the roles are claimed, we agreed as a town at the start to NOT release her as Shiri suggested, thus Mafia) and became quite interested in how I knew the key was stolen. Course, if she actually bothered reading the posts her mistress mentioned it had been pilfered. Ah well.
Conclusion- Shaddus isn't a lynch, he is most likely a town power role. Vendetta and Celina are lynch material. Ideally they wanted you to have Celina day kill me and most likely would of jumped on the band wagon for Shaddus to force a quick night. Then you would of had to deal with a twilight without your roleblocker. Nothing Celina has done has shown itself to be typical town behaviour, and the fact she is defending Vendetta is equally damning in itself. Arix, remember that game where Othero jumped to attacking me and I pasted it as him defending you? Remember how that won me the game? It is happening again, right here, in reverse, and if you fall for it I swear I'm going to enjoy every moment of it once I'm dead.

When I revealed my identity at the beginning of Day 2, I was surprised not only that Kiradawea was Yuka instead of Mima, but also that Mima herself did not come after me.
Kiradawea has told us some interesting things. I'm not inclined to believe every word she says, but she's a practical youkai. She wouldn't just say things for the sake of saying them. I'm willing to believe that Medicine was her underling, hoping to expand her Suzuran field by granting Yuka assistance (though was ultimately expendable in Yuka's attempts to appear like a Townie). This would establish what the other win condition Medicine had might be, and that Yuka and Mima are indeed not working together.
I am beginning to think that Mima cannot act during the day time, to balance out her powerful presence during Twilight, and potentially during the Night (which we haven't really experienced in full yet).
It would stand, then, that Mima might have no spellcards, and therefore cannot initiate battles herself. However, this does not mean that challenging her is an instant win. Only that she can't start the fight. Mima is exceptionally powerful and it might be plausible to believe anyone that would challenge her would be destroyed in the process.
AtS, does this all sound familiar to you? Do you have any other explanations?
However, there is another side to the coin here. Since Kiradawea has her own agenda, she could know something useful about Mima. Do any of you think she would challenge Mima if her identity were revealed? Or has she known who Mima is for "some time", like she claims to have with me, and has reason to avoid her?
If Yuka can destroy Mima, she might gain some new power in the process, and we'd want to defeat Mima before she can... though without knowing if there's any special conditions that need to be met.
If Yuka cannot destroy Mima, then we don't have to rush the situation with reckless action.
What are we going to do?
Zynna, I think you must have at least one kind of potion left. The purple one doubles vote weight, the yellow one made you win a danmaku battle without really fighting back... what does the last one do, assuming you might have restrictions and options similar to Medicine's

Yuka might be able to defeat Mima with a spellcard battle like how Othero could kill Kaguya, and that could be a part of her win condition. Or, she can't defeat Mima without some special condition otherwise. If we lynch Yuka now, Mima might go all out on Twilight and Night. Unless Daganev can advance time again, this would be bad. I want to resolve this while keeping Town losses as low as possible. Can you see where I'm coming from?

Not challenging identity, challenging faction. Big difference, especially with your streams of current suggestions that would set us back quite a bit. First, Kira goes for you even though she claims she knew who you were. She then plays this up after you return. The only person who turns her off of you was me because I knew she wasn't acting correctly. If she needed Mima, she was trying to lynch the wrong person for it considering her info would "empower" Mima.
Meaning something here stinks.
The only way this would seem correct is if they were on the same side, which means your current arguement would be pointless, as no scum is going to break with their allies.

Lets calm down and stop being children. First, Unvote. I'm thinking Salvation is innocent. Second, I'm thinking we are down to one scum or so. Average game numbers should suggest we have one or two left. We've got a good chance to finish them off. Lorick, you're being dumb and jumpy, calm down. Celina, you're silly trigger happy and almost lynched pretty much confirmed town.
We know Lorick is a role-blocker, good chance he isn't scum. Celina's role is too odd and too powerful for scum. My guess is survivor.
Vote:Arix
Let us actually take a look at the roles we do and not know. So far we lynched Medicine and Yuka. Arix pretty much confirmed himself as Yukari. I realize Arix hasn't done much that is all that scummy but he also hasn't done much. Looking at the lore of the game he fits in. Medicine and Yuka both as Touhou characters are not connected to the locations in the initial posts while it seems like everyone is. Same for Yukari, not connected to any of the locations.

Why would Vendetta make such a hard move against Kira? Even if you think he defended her as scum he also pushed hard to have her shown as scum.
Lorick2009-09-16 09:38:43
Othero, she is scum. She can't say who released her because doing so would implicate that person, and any investigations regarding that person most likely will turn up scum. I don't think Arix is mafia, his mafia style is more lurky and less flashy. Also, if he was mafia he had a pretty good chance to do Celina's work for her by just letting her kill me. And she isn't going to stop Othero, because she is mafia. She isn't a survivor by traditional role, she is a limited access sociopath, IE a killer with mental issues that usually manifest in role restrictions. If Arix _was_ mafia, it would of been to his benefit to leave Celina out since she will keep attempting to kill townies every day until the town either deals with her or her kills do the work for her. He basically sent her back and saved me, but she is then freed again, most likely by the same person.
Lorick2009-09-16 09:43:12
It was staged. Kira already was pushing towards votes, it was only a matter of time before the town took action. It was either going to be Vendetta outing her that day or me, so Vendetta lept at the chance to card battle her and reveal himself in a positive light to the town. Any card battle with Kira would of revealed her role, so the mafia might as well get the best for their buck. I didn't know that then, and pretty much assumed Vendetta was town. I would still be if he hadn't put forth those suggestions to be honest. However, even at the time the whole thing was leaving a large theater taste in my mouth but I shrugged it off as roleplay at the time.

I had already roleclaimed, a card battle that day wouldn't of cost me anything new, and I couldn't the day before because of you and Shiri/Dag.

Hmm, lets say Celina is scum because Arix could let her out. It would still make sense for Arix to protect you if he could then let her back out. You're the roleblocker, we know this. If I was him I'd protect you from Celina and gain your trust. Look, already you're pretty sure that he's town because he protected you. You're not going to block him which gives him room to go out and do what he needs to do as scum. You said his mafia style is lurky, he's been lurky. I can sort of buy Arix and Celina being scum but not Celina and Vendetta.
