Just saw this after my last post. In that case I suppose it's harmless to vote for you to get confirmation of your townness.

I don't see how lynching someone whom everyone agrees is 90% townie helps us at all.
And Shiri, what you are saying isn't making any sense, it's only goal seems to be to cause doubt and confusion as to whom our enemies are, and trying at the same time to get people to reveal roles early!

I have not seen everyone post their thoughts on Othero, let alone whether they think he's town. If he's town, then we know we can trust him here on out, and it's useful to have a known ally. If he's not town, then we'll maybe get a sense of the Touhou flavours that are not town. And even if town, we don't lose one because he comes back tomorrow.

I agree that lynching Othero is probably one of the safest bets (well, assuming he isn't a jester or somesuch). I mean, it being Day 1 means there's not really any substance behind voting, and it would be better to lynch a rezzing townie than a non-rezzing townie. Unless we get another challenge going and get lucky finding one of those 'obviously evil' roles.

We had a night 0! There is plenty of new information out there that people did not have before night 0.
A train on Othero will give us 0 new information, that we didn't already know from the self imposed battle that Othero put on.
But if people want to waste a night start, well then I guess there isn't much I can do about it.

I'm not sure I like his reasoning and because he tried to jack me with some magic cards out of nowhere

Well, no one has come out with new information so...
If we don't learn anything in a day or so, then I'll vote Othero, I guess.

What about it that you don't like? I'll try to explain it. I've got nothing to really hide and there seems to only be one way to kill me. I felt like my safest move was showing who I am.

I don't like the logic you used and your attempt to force out your rival or paint them as scum. Seems a little fishy and like you are trying to orchestrate a catch 22 for them.
Lorick2009-08-29 01:02:21
Right, and make anyone who actually spell card battles you a large target themselves. Yeah, I disagree with the train on Othero on the basis that "Just because it might be safe" on the same reasoning as I disagree with a vote of no lynch. If we attempt to lynch, we essentially kill of Othero for the evening (As per his claim), give the mafia a smaller target base by confirming Othero for them, and have him revive in the morning. If it works because he is lying, all the better, but I would rather hold off until people who might be able to confirm roles have a chance to use the days events.

I said they probably have three options now. If they are town they would either stay hidden because they have some sort of other power and don't want to risk themselves or show who they are because they are town and it would help confirm them as town. If they are scum then I expect them to eventually make a move on me trying to kill me, however, if I can work on showing that I am town making a move on me to kill me will reveal that they are scum.
I'm not trying to force them out. They can keep their role hidden and safe. However, if they make a move on me to kill me then it will make them look very scummy.

No, only if they spell card battle with me and I die. I spell card battled Llandros and we both lived, obviously he isn't my rival.
Arix2009-08-29 01:20:00
Looking over the Wiki, it seems like Flandre and Remilla might be villains, but that might just be because they're vampires. Also, there are only two of them, so probably not. Does Touhou even HAVE villains?

Vote:Llandros Pretty much for making me repeat myself. I had already said what I was trying to do by outing myself and you either ignored it or are trying to twist my actions. I'm not forcing anyone to do anything. I've given them a way to out themselves if they wish to but they do not have to.
And so there is no confusion at all, If I am killed during the day or night I will come back to life by the next day. The only way I am to die is if I fight a spell card battle with my rival. And to help everyone out, expect to see something from the mod forcing the battle (not saying we will but I expect it) because my rival can not turn down my challenge and I can't turn down hers. It's going to be obvious if me and my rival fight.

Othero, are you talking about 'they' as in Kaguya?
If so, I'm pretty sure that the required-spellcard-death works both ways. Eventually they're going to duke it out because it's their victory condition. It can work either way- a town Kaguya doesn't want a town Mokou to die, that's a bad idea at this stage in the game. Or, a scum Kaguya doesn't want to risk dying.

I say we don't vote Othero. Isn't that the same thing as voting a no lynch if he does come back the next morning anyway? Then we will still be in the exact same spot as we were before only with less townies.
Unknown2009-08-29 01:33:48
Damn not being able to edit. Not saying we really have any information to go on seeing that it just started, just saying it seems silly ze~.

Furien, your avatar is sooo distracting! If I were Cirno I'd have shown you who was the strongest by now!
I wouldn't mark Remilla and Flandres as the villains just because they're vampires. They rarely get out of the mansion.
What about Peaches? I never liked Peaches (Tenshi Hinanai). She's suspicious to me.

Suppose maybe they could do something else, but vampires are pretty shady.
