Don't know what to do

Back to Common Grounds.

So I'm kind of in a bind here. I, as a player, am bored with the game. This usually causes me to switch organizations or guilds (orgs this time since I spent all my credits on hookers), which would be Glomdoring, if I'm even accepted which I'm doubting, but I'll still give it a shot. My problem is... Morgfyre brought lots of meaning to Ardmore's life. But staying in Mag bores me. I don't like 95% of the people, most of my friends are in Glom and Celest. I would think staying in Mag will eventually just make me stop playing.

I'm not sure if I should just stick it out and be miserable, and eventually stop playing, or join Glom (if I get accepted) and leave Morgfyre's Order... it's starting to become easier to choose the latter, since Morgfyre was really active for about 2 weeks and... isn't anymore. Neh, Morgfyre's values correspond to Ardmore's life so well, could he still use his values to guide his life after leaving the Order? :/

Someone has had to have been in a bind like this before, any opinions on what I should do?

As far as I can tell, there's no real reason not to accept you to Glom except for "The Morgfyre Connection," which would be a pretty large decision you'd have to make.

And yes, there is no objection to trying to use his values (though it may lead to some drama / confrontations if it doesn't mesh well with 'Commune Values')-- some of Fain's teachings, for example, do fit in well. And some of them just... don't. tongue.gif

The choice is completely up to you, but playing and slowly getting more and more bored isn't really worth it, IMO. You should try to find something (either in Mag or elsewhere) to spice it up.

I think it's kind of moot that because Malarious went back to Mag, no members of Morgfyre are allowed now. :/ Maybe I'm mis-reading his values, but everything I've read talks about changing yourself for the better (better not as in, being a good person, but making yourself more powerful). I don't know how that clashes against Glom's views, other than he's patron of Mag, so they'll always go back to Mag. sad.gif

Boo-hiss. barf.gif

It takes me 2 hours to decide what I want for dinner, how am I going to make this one. doh.gif

Don't forget consuming other Elders to take their power. Stay away from our Viravain/Shikari/Nocht, you vile old man! eyepoke.gif Morgfyre.

HE'S JUST MISUNDERSTOOD...!

I'll agree, I don't know the story behind him and Hajamin. Storytime?!

Go to Glomdoring. Magnagora's insanely boring if you don't have more than one friend there to interact with. You otherwise have to go completely out of your way to find something to do. Not to bash them or anything. I'm sure they're just going through a period of staleness right now.

Edit: Unless you're a demigod combatant. Fun times for them.

Another edit: Wait! You ARE a demigod combatant. Go raid something, you silly...

Ardmore's a noncom.

Well, I ended up joining Glom. Terrible timing, Morgfyre popped on just as I was getting the thumbsup from Glom... Had a nice long talk to him. Now Ardmore's just going to be a soul wandering without a purpose now. sad.gif

I miss Morgfyre already. Oh some of the things he said made me want to stay so bad, this was like the hardest decision I've ever had to make for Lusternia. sad.gif

I don't know if I made the right choice, but Shuyin kinda cheered me up with his excited welcome tell... Time will tell, thanks for everyone's opinions.

Edit: It's a pain in the butt talking to Morgfyre in tells, you can't REPLY to him, so I kept mis-telling stuff to Narynth.

They all do that actually...sometimes they also (presumably accidentally) turn it so they can send you tells, expecting answers, but you can't tell back, so you have to message them.

It's great when they do it as an anonymous person, so you don't even know who is talking to you to message... heh.

They can still see your replies if you do 'reply blah'.

Once that happened to me! But I just did 'tell nocht blah' and he still replied, even though the system kept telling me it couldn't find him. ohmy.gif

Only if they're watching you, as usually when they're anonymous doing "reply" gives you the "who do you want to tell?" message afterwards.

Find something else that you can put in front of "Ardmore" to make a non-word name. There's your problem.

Or, you know, go where your friends are and have fun with them.
