Just came to realize that it's been around six years since I started playing lusternia, and damn things have changed. So many new things to learn after this past hiatus, but it definitely made me miss and appreciate some of the old school lusternia. Use this thread to reminisce (sp nejii? Shiri EDIT: yep) or whatever you'd like.
I miss, more than anything, the glory days of warrior duels. Murphy, Ixion, Icarus, Terenas, me, Ekard, heck even after two-handed weapons came around and there was Geb among a few others. Endless duels in Faethorn all the like, it was just awesome.
I miss life before bards and monks.
I miss pre-allthisweightingandscaling down.
I miss the smaller playerbase at times. (though of course a big pbase is a good thing too)

I miss when Serenwilde actually had active fighters and we had all the domoths.
Okay, not really that oldschool.
I miss old people who've left.

I miss three guilds and no collegiums, every little action NOT leading to full scale war, and not requiring a system to play.

That sounds like an act of war.
WAR!

Don't monks and bards suck?!?! I've hated them since they first came out. Sometimes, change isn't a good thing for Lusternia.

Hear hear.

To be clear, this isn't in any way meant to be a slight against the administration. I definitely know the hard work it takes to run a mud, especially an IRE mud, and you guys have shown some great innovation. This is merely an old timer remembering simpler times. Love you Esty

I miss the old credit market.

I remember Diamante three-shotting me once.
OH MAN GOOD TIMES
edit: And then he lagged out in choke as an SD and I totally got a thornrend kill for the first time.

I thought we've been playing for five years, not six.
I miss that first week, where we had no guild/city/commune leaders yet and everyone was infecting everyone else with scabies because we didn't have the cure (and had to go to the "clinic," where a healer would fix us up and send us into a clean room).

That happened with the plague, too, was fun

Think I was at 99 (81%) when I left, and was ranked 13th or so.
Apparently there's been an avalanche of demigods since then.

I wish I had been around for the first weeks of Lusternia. The earliest thing I can remember is monks before momentum.

Oh ruptures... just the thought of them makes my skin crawl.

Ruptures were easy.

I remember fighting alongside of Diamante, and against him. Him and his Hajamin swords. I also remember when Alyssandra was GM of the Serenguard, and when Malicia was GC of the Serenguard.

I too remember fighting alongside Diamante, when he became GC after Malicia left.

I remember when Debating/Influencing was a simple game of rock/paper/scissors that allowed low-tier people to be useful to their org. Then came Dramatics and its afflictions that are only curable by an enchantment that decays off jewelry you put it on.
