So was I...it isn't a player resource? O.o
Lendren2009-10-24 15:20:12
It should probably be in both places since it kind of straddles that fence, but Estarra puts it where she wishes to put it, and none shall gainsay her lest they be smote. Or something like that.

I thought the link from the website was pretty prominent coming off the HELP menu. Anyway, I've added it to Player Resources as well!

The Help menu was the first place I personally looked, mostly because I use the online help files all the time as is (speaking of which, many of them are desynchronized from the ingame helpfiles, most notably the beasts and artifacts files).

What would be really, really nice would be a general listing of public designs for the various trades. It would be a lot of work... but it would be very useful!

We had one of those in the Scrying Pool but it was never maintained (or even completed), despite many promises that it would be. A very out of date list is never all that useful. That's the real trick to all this stuff: initially creating it is only a small part of the commitment.

It's not that hard. I have an IC book I made of all the public robe designs. Getting the designs themselves into a text file is a very simple thing with a bit of code. Writing them (and updating them) in an IC book is more work, so I've slacked on that.
However, I'll happily pull up the designs for tailoring, if you want them.

I did the code for artisan too, made it part of Workbench Craft, but nevertheless the designs never get maintained. The copy on Scrying Pool never even got completed, let alone maintained. If someone wants to make a wiki for this, I'll add a link to it to the Archives.

Wouldn't hurt to put up current designs. Heck, I'll even post the code for easy updating. Granted, I have to wait for insanity to die before I can do it...

I've got a (mostly) complete one for forging, with comm-costs listed. I can send you a copy later if you want. Just forum PM me.

Recent updates to skills have been updated on the skills pages.
Several of my chroniclers have gone very quiet, so I wouldn't mind handing off their duties to other people. And still didn't get anyone who wanted to organize the afflictions lines stuff. So let me know if you're looking to roll up your sleeves and get dirty.

I'll send a jewellery public design list to you if you want, Lendren.
Lendren2009-11-14 14:35:08
Not to me, to whoever decides to create and manage that designs wiki, but no one has so far.
Lendren2009-11-28 18:45:57
We need some more volunteers for Chroniclers, as some of my previous volunteers have had to step down (and I'm waiting to hear back from some others). I need people who want to work on these sections:
- Gods
- Aetherspace creatures
- Aetherbubbles
- Geography
- Affliction and cure lines
Lendren2009-11-29 01:28:27
Add to that list the pages for cities, communes, and guilds.
Everiine2009-11-29 03:17:26
I prepared a Serenguard page, just need to know who to send it too.
Lendren2009-11-29 03:21:33
Maybe to yourself if you want to volunteer to become a chronicler and work on those pages!
Lendren2009-12-16 22:43:54
Recent updates:
- Envoy report updates to Crow Spy, Aquamancy Typhoon, Geomancy Lodestone, Tarot Dreamer, and Pureblade Disembowel.
- Dionamus affliction and defense.
- God listing for Rhesileni.
Lendren2009-12-24 13:39:07
Updates all over the place for the new cities, guilds, and skills. (Holding off on doing the new afflictions and defenses updates until the streamlining that's due soon.)
Maybe one of you new city founders could sign up to become a Chronicler to help us develop the city and guild pages?
BTW, maybe the old Scrying Pool thread should be unstickied, and this thread should be stickied in its place, and maybe even moved to Survival Guide?

Lehki's supplied a prime map with the new cities on it.
There's a problem with Hallifax on the new aetherspace map. The pink/orange area around Hallifax is one row too big, resulting in the map having Hallifax 1 south of where it really is. So the bottom half of the Hallifax area as well as it's nexus world all need to be moved north 1.
I'm not a graphics editor kind of guy...
