There's a problem with Hallifax on the new aetherspace map. The pink/orange area around Hallifax is one row too big, resulting in the map having Hallifax 1 south of where it really is. So the bottom half of the Hallifax area as well as it's nexus world all need to be moved north 1.

I'm not a graphics editor kind of guy...

You're right, whoops. Fixed it and sent it to Lendren. D:

EDIT: Or rather, will send it as soon as I get his email again. <,<;

Super. I love your additions to the map.
Lendren2010-03-14 13:43:46
Haven't gotten it yet.
Lendren2010-03-14 17:27:15
The update is up.

On the AetherspaceEthereal map, Charune's god realm is missing. It's just to the southeast of Maylea's realm.

Please check me on this, but it looks to me like the chart for the Debating skill is wrong, here. From the chart I would expect that a Passion attack against someone with a Pedantic mindset would go in favor of the Defender, i.e. the Pedantic guy. In fact, the opposite is true:
QUOTE
Raeri passionately presents his case, fervently arguing his points with emotional appeals. The tempestuous argument overwhelms your careful preparation, leaving you shocked to the point where you find yourself capitulating to the emotional demands made in the argument.

Maybe the chart is intending to show who loses, rather than who wins, but that's not made clear. Here is the chart I made for myself:
CODE
            Passion                 Pontification           Pettifoggery
Pedantic    bad for defender        minor bad for defender  bad for attacker
Cautious    bad for attacker        bad for defender        minor bad for defender
Analytical  minor bad for defender  bad for attacker        bad for defender

A second point would be that no debate attack results in a Draw, as the chart says. What the chart calls a Draw is really a smaller win for the attacker.

Edit: Appears I was wrong. Woops!

I'd lifted the table from a CHELP that Nejii wrote, but I've redone it to be a lot more explicit.

If anyone wants to send me a bunch more text to provide a more thorough guide (or even the content for a Debate Guide page), let me know.
Shishi2010-04-28 20:11:37
I noticed the Newbie guide is still blank, I'd be willing to try and start something. (I'm not promising) If there really is nothing there.
Lendren2010-04-28 20:43:51
I'd prefer contributors sign up as Chroniclers and edit the pages themselves, but if someone has content to contribute and prefers not to be a Chronicler, they can just send me the text. Please remember the wiki is a semi-official Lusternian publication so it has to take a factual, objective, and professional tone.

How does one sign up to be one anyway? There's a ton of blank pages that could just be filled with info from help files that I wouldn't mind putting up. And I still plan to get those updated aetherspace maps to yah when I have more time.

There's a link on the front page about it, but in a nutshell, you contact me privately.

Kudos to Arcanis who is our newest chronicler and has hit the ground running with updates to the Divine Pantheon page.

Thanks! Never knew this topic existed until know tongue.gif . I first wanted to be a chronicler when I noticed how many things were missing on the pages and wanted to help out. Alot of people use the IRE wikis to find info and history about the game so they can understand it more (myself being one of those people), and even some that later use the info as a scholars IG.

So far finished the Elostian, Morgfyre, Ayridion and Sior pages, also updated a little the Divine Pantheon page (changed a few of the Gods statuses and updated the Ascended gods part). Im working down the list, so next is Estarra (wont mess it up! biggrin.gif ).

If anyone notices anything on one of the god pages or thinks something should be added, you can send me a quick message about it. Also if anyone has a nice pic for a god, that is better then the current one up there, then also message with the site!

SQUEE! *runs to check the Morgfyre page*

I will gut you if there are mistakes in it, Arcanis! This explains why you were asking me about Morgy though. >.>

Also wow, you posted this on May 25 and I just now noticed. blackeye.gif

EDIT: Looking over it, it looks good, except a slight grammatical error. "He teaches his agents that everyone has an Inner hunger, and this hunger must be listened too," the "too" at the end should be "to." You also forgot all the stuff I told you about Change. sad.gif

Thanks! I will go and fix up that mistake, also I didnt mention change because it was stated out already in the help scroll about him which is posted there tongue.gif .

so now for a small update, ive been a bit busy with some things recently but soon will be finished and back to fixing up those scrolls! I recently made the Shikari scroll, sadly couldnt find any pics of him (you artists get to work! tongue.gif ) , I did find one of a warrior with a black panther that I thought would fit except it was titled with the name of an adventurer heh. Anywho soon I am going to work on Isune's page, and she has a rather intricate history so lot of work there... If anyone wants to throw at me facts or anything of importance they want me to know, im all ears.

EDIT: Okay just went in and just for you Ongaku I added a small dab that he talks about change and changed the paragraph a bit, hope you like it biggrin.gif

I've posted one of the tables from the old Scrying Pool on the Astrology page. The second table is on the Discussion tab for that page, but I need people to help me figure out what it's trying to say, and fill in the possibly missing data, before I can post it (and know where to post it and how to explain it). So please look at that page and help me get it posted.

Those are the costs and effects of spheres depending on sign. You can look at Tarox and see the endurance cost, for example, by looking in the right column. It doesn't look like it's complete, though.

I can next time I flex Astro, if someone hasn't by then, but I can't guarantee that'll be anytime soon.
