Hm... Iktomi. I had the idea that she would originally be the semi-crazy "tribal shaman" figure who wrote parables and other short stories. That didn't quite pan out, but she must still have the semi-crazy to her, since Talan keeps calling her odd. She does have two coloured eyes, one a blue and one a hazel, which become expressive depending on her actions. Her hazel eye becomes expressive when she's being wicked/mischievous, and her blue eye when she's being nice or tender.
Rika2010-03-06 19:50:16
Rika is evil. She griefs pigeons in her spare time.
Iktomi2010-03-06 22:30:18
For shame, Rika.

I play Vathael as the nice, loving type. Always trying to do some good in some form or fashion, helping in any way that he can. Having respect for all the creatures and things in the Basin, would never harm a fly. He's always nice to his children and wife, teaching them the things he's learned as he was growing up.

Havastus was supposed to be the emotionless, robotic sort of Kephera, that was all intellect, hold the personality. He gave long winded answers using big, complicated words for even the most simple of questions. He enjoyed reading and discovering the mysteries of this new world called Lusternia and everything that resided within.
Then he met Elisor, and reincarnated into a Loboshigaru, and became Elisor's brother. He kept the intellect, but that added on a goofy, brother-like attitude towards everyone. He uses that attitude to teach and impart knowledge unto youngin's, which he absolutely loves doing.
Over the months, he's gone from being pretty loner-ish to quite the socialite in New Celest. Soon, him and Zig shall be starting their family... Just gotta wait a month and a half IRL to do so

Lawliet was originally supposed to be smart, uncompromising and someone who would follow the Law to the letter, she was also supposed to be fairly unemotional, she would've fit in as a Lucidian, later on in life when she'd fallen in love once or twice she kinda softened up and turned into (shamefully) a bit of a snugglie, keen watchers of the Celest-drama will note that she didn't really care for Laws any more a few months back, hence the damning (damn you, Ilyarin ). Oddly, I never intended to take Law into any sort of combat, she might defend when REALLY pressed but you wouldn't want to give a demesne to her, this only changed recently, with Celest being in a real bad position it seemed that she should at least try and help.
Now, in personality, she's become more like she was at the beginning, uncompromising, following the law, but she's also... I dunno, angry? She has far less patience then at any time previous to now, I really like RPing 'angry' Lawliet, it's good for relieving stress.
Where she'll go I'm not sure, but I am tempted to soften her again, most the people she knew and got along with, and counted as friends, have either left Celest or don't really come around much any more, Lusty's boring if you don't have friends to talk to, so she'll probably make some new ones.

The RL kiddo totally isn't old enough yet.
Vathael really is lovely to Lyria, and yes he teaches his IC kids. Sometimes the teaching involves impaling, or cutting off heads, but hey. They have to learn somehow, right?

Okee
After reading through all the Harry Potter books again (don't judge me) I'd love to take her in the direction of Mad-eye Moody, she's, coincidently, only a few steps away anyway, she already tells people to be vigilant (though it doesn't quite match his random hilarious 'CONSTANT VIGILANCE!'S), she has mechanical goggles (so tempting to customize them into a single mechanical eye >.>) and she's pretty old, now all she needs is a false leg and some scars
But alas, I don't really wanna base any char completely on a character from a book.
Edit: Don't kid yourself, Lyria, he only does that cuz you can withhold booteh OOCly if he's mean to you.
Eldanien2010-03-07 21:00:49
Eldanien was meant to be a Celestine gone hermit in the Serenwilde, a moralist doing as his conscience directed him, and dealing with the resulting discrimination, mistrust, misaligned nexus and just not quite fitting in. I wanted him to be the softspoken old hermit with an unusual choice of personal companion when he finally got settled in.
Then game culture started gelling up, and moving him from Celest to Serenwilde got steadily less and less likely. Various conflicts sometimes pushed Eldanien away from Celest and closer to Serenwilde... but usually not.
At this point, it's hard to imagine him going anywhere else.

Fun fact! Vathael is constantly under a glamour. Underneath it, his true form is that of a puppy with butterfly wings that burps heart shaped rainbow coloured bubbles.

Oh, I should do Akui so long as I'm posting here.
Akui always acts by her own moral compass. She has very few qualms about letting people know when she disagrees with what they are doing (assuming, of course, that she feels they are even worth spending words on). This has proven true to the extent that she's run afoul of the near non-existent law in Gaudiguch. She evaluates situations based on the individuals involved, which often results in what externally appears to be very mecurial behavior at times- acting with spite towards one person, while actively assisting another individual that, from an outside perspective, seems much the same.
She has an extremely long memory for acts she deems as "wrong", but is also quick to forgive a person making an effort to redeem themselves.
Her fixation on the individual means she is also blind to/frustrated by/willfully derisive of people who act in accordance with a movement/group/whatever, seeing such things as, at best, surrendering one's own sense of the world to others, and at worst, an excuse to behave as a mindless beast. This can be detrimental, as it can predispose her to such assumptions regardless of the truth.

The whole reason I created Lucan was because his mother (Solarus) asked me and a friend of mine to play her and Everiine's twin children in Lusternia. He started out in Glomdoring (because I thought it would be interesting for one of the twins of a couple of Serens to end up Glom) and then ended up meeting a Celestian whom he married (after moving to Celest himself, as relations with Celest - Glom at that time were bad). I won't go into detail about the rest of it, but the marriage ended badly just before I went on my year and a half long hiatus from the game.
Lucan's now a pretty bitter old Drac, though Kameen seems to be helping him, at least to an extent.

Nicholo was meant to be this troubled, abused former slave-child who was "supposedly" rescued by a Celestian, then growing-up to be an Aquamancer. (More of the story of this hooplah on my profile. Quite lengthy, mind you.) Basically a smiling depressive, he would be extremely energetic, happy and bubbly, using it as a facade to hide his true, mourning, horrible mental state.
Initially, he was quite upset at Celest, due to the lack of company and communication, but then he met a Druid named Nichoda, who showed him the Wyrd and, well... long story short, he moves there. Arriving to Glomdoring, he joins the Shadowdancers, the proposition of the art of dance and the dark, which he has grown accustomed to as a child, along with fire. There, he meets his family, Reiha, Ishant and Astraea being the most influential. Well, his bubbly attitude wouldn't seem to make a cut, and he desperately tries to make change. He manages to get onto the good sides of MOST of the family and some people, even becoming Astraea's favourite and Reiha acknowledging him as her only true, non-adopted son.
Anyways, he became an Alchemist and a healing salve exploded on his face, doing things and basically changing his appearance, skin tone, eyes, hair, nails, and a few others. Shorthand: Pulled out recessive Aslaran genes, possibly from Reiha's Changeling-ness. He also had a change of attitude, making most people actually mistake him for being an Illithoid, prim and proper.
... well, he rose up quite well in the ranks of Glomdoring and the Shadowdancers, initial plan was to be the next GA when Alacardael steps down, which he used to say, but then he kinda 'fell asleep' for more than two decades, and when he returns... Most of the family is dead, Mr. Sparkles managed to kidnap Eventru, and his dominant emotion was... apathy.
Now, he initially lost interest in 'fire' living in a forest, but now, Gaudiguch open, his main vote would actually be relocating there, as he now left Glomdoring and the Shadowdancers, which means inevitable death... Though he's still looking for other Organizations, canvassing, if you may, but one this is sure that he's joining Lanikai's Order. And he's becoming quite more ruthless, absorbing the gravity of his situation, bearing a slight vendetta against his family.
--------------Aside from history and current attitudes and stuff, he seems to tend to always pack numerous thoughts and ideas in one sentence, and... says 'quite'quite too often...

Winnae the Puissant is one of the more amusing characters to play that I've come up with. It's really a dilemma, since Jelaludin has 3 times his might (and originally had much more than that!) but Winnae is just so much cooler than Jelaludin. Yet I can't recycle Jelaludin, or change his name to Winnae, or anything. It's a real dilemma for me and my wallet, whether to continue down the path of funding Winnae or not. I think to myself, I could make Jelaludin an ur'guard and have more might than this without spending any cash, make him an orclach and forget influence etc., maybe lose some of that not so important trans planar... but who knows, no hurry.
But more to the point, Winnae the Puissant is my attempt at Winnie the Pooh, grown up and evil (or maybe just very stupid), with some frat boy thrown in. I've gotten a lot of compliments on the character and it's both easy and fun to play as him too. He's also a good subject for making a firstaid system since he doesn't have focus mind and such a system would probably be used mostly by other people who don't have focus mind, when I eventually release the system publicly (probably within the week).

Winnae is easily my favourite character at the moment. Very entertaining, so thanks!
