Spending credits

I've recently gained a new bardic rank, which means I've got ahold of a few credits, but I'm unsure exactly how to best spend em, so I figured I should ask for some advice.

I've got 1090 credits. Should I save em for the next lesson conversion boost and spend em on skills

Or if I should spend them on an artifact of sorts. Maybe a pair of enchanting gloves or a RoA. Can runes be detached from jewelry so I can eventually swap out my old tiara for a new design?

And before you try. No. I've already created a gift budget and know exactly how many credits I'll be giving away to who. Better luck next time.

And thanks in advance.

I'd personally get a toy (artifact), but I'm a sucker for toys.

My recommendations are RoA or pyramid. I use them both all the freaking time.

Removing a rune from an item is the same as trading it in: 66% of the value is returned.

I'm surprised magic's still at inept. Seems like you'd be pretty vulnerable to bards, there. Transing combat for the boost to stance/parry and shieldstun wouldn't be terrible either.

As for the tiara part, ARTIFACT REMOVE FROM

Furrikin. I can tank magic damage almost indefinetly, especially with a dragon sphere or magic proofing. (When I had Dragon and Volcano spheres and fire and magic proofed robe, I could tank non-demi cosmicfire on mercy and honour alone).

Anyway, I can't move the RoA from one tiara to another without paying more credits is that how I understand it?

Correct. Removing an artifact rune, of any type, from something will cause it to be immediately traded in for 66% of its worth.

You can, though, spend 50 credits to customize an item you've put a rune on (by e-mailing artifacts@lusternia.com, I believe).

Meh. Then I probably won't be getting any runes any time shortly. I change preferred design on a whim, so being able to freely attach and detach is important to me.

But, but... RoA is so lovely. Oh well.

I say buy a cameo!

If you don't want to get runes for now and enchant on a fairly regular basis, I'd recommend getting a pyramid, gloves, and spend the rest of the credits on getting 100 dingbats for a surfboard or a pogo.

I generally recommend skills over artifacts, but there are a couple of very handy artifacts, such as the RoA. And, if you ever give up Enchantment as a trade skill, it's truly great to have a set of jewelry that never decays, so you can just keep charging it all up indefinitely. smile.gif

What's a "RoA"? I can't seem to find it in the help scrolls...

Also, Cameo! Changeling seems like a really nifty ability to have, unless you're locked into racial RP already.

Quite locked into racial RP I'm afraid. I just have difficulties seeing Kira as anything but a fur-kin at this point. I'll probably end up saving them up even longer for something more interesting though. The things I want are runes, but I don't have any groovy designs to put the runes on. Oh well.

Use five or ten of those credits to commission a design to your liking!
