Yeah, Shiri has been unusally quiet this game to. Normally he comes forward with more assessments. Not that it means anything. I don't know enough about Jack to even make an opinion thus far, and I keep seeing people peek but not participate so I know they aren't afk but lurking. Day is the fellowship's phase, if no one doesn't talk the game is just a series of throwing darts at a board and hoping the maybe four townie roles that can actually do something hit the right targets. A lurking town doesn't really give us a lot of information.
Arix2009-10-03 03:42:33
Shiri does not seem to be on the forums at this time, and I do not know Jack's schedule. I also don't remember if I've been in a mafia with Jack before
Lorick2009-10-03 03:46:09
I was meaning over the course of the game. We've been going for a few days here and Shiri has only really spoken up to vote for me, voice opposition to Req's plan, and to decline running for leader. I can't really recall any other major stance so far, which is unusal for him since he tends to get out there a bit more and give suggestions. Also, by declining the office it lends itself to the idea that Shiri may either be a power role or unable to withstand probing. If he was a power role, the mafia should of caught on to that and went for him first if they figured the claimed townies would have doctor protection. Instead, they went for Dag, which sort of bothers me.
What about you Furien? How do you feel about all of what has happened? You voted for Othero first.

Or, they didn't go for Dag, we have either a mafia that didn't kill or a cult on our hands, and Dag tried to kill the wrong target.
Arix2009-10-03 03:50:28
It's also possible he just didn't want to be leader.
Lorick2009-10-03 03:56:17
Heh, never said I had any strong reasons, I just like to hear more from him. Like it or not for me, people follow him without even knowing his role, no matter what really. And I'd like another assessment, he knew Dag better than me and would have maybe better insight into what happened.
Furien2009-10-03 03:56:34
Shiri's reading the thread now, and for what it's worth he's been coming around many hours later in the past few days.
Arix2009-10-03 03:58:05
Just because I feel someone should ask, what's the syntax to buy a hooker?
Lorick2009-10-03 03:58:45
Purchase x for x I think. Off the top of my head.
Shiri2009-10-03 04:02:05
All the activity keeps going on while I'm asleep, is the real reason. I post once when I wake up but then it's quiet all day. Presumably Jack has been gone for the same reason, although he needs to post some anyway, I don't even remember what he's said thus far.
Anyway, I think it's odd that we didn't have more than one kill. It's possible that our mafia doesn't, I guess, but you would still expect both Daganev and an SK to go for someone after that day (if we don't have a killing mafia we probably have a scum.) On reflection it doesn't make sense for Daganev to have gone after Celina to prove that, and he didn't actually like the plan of killing the leader as confirmation, right? I think Celina and Lorick are both fairly safe atm.
I'm going to recommend going after either Req, who's been bothering me for a while now, or a lurker.

I think we're forgetting that the mafia are spies, specifically. They might have gone into this knowing what one or two specific targets were. It's been stated that Bali likes to be favourable with power roles for the mafia, and having this trait would distinguish them from the first quest game. Based on this, it's entirely possible they knew who Dag was and specifically targetted him before he could act, and the sequence of events locked him from making any moves before getting nixed.
I guess we'll only know if they keep getting "lucky" with killing strong power roles that have done nothing to reveal themselves.
Would it be possible for any further fellowship roles to have killing powers, or more inclined to combat, or does that seem unlikely? We had a revenge, we had Daganev, we have Lorick's daykill... hmm.

last time, it was possible to buy weapons
Lorick2009-10-03 04:07:43
I'm not really a killer role, but I see what you mean. Techinically, the town has outed three possible kill roles, and I'm guessing there aren't more fellowship daykillers since we didn't have anyone else come forward and make me look like an arse. So yeah, I'd be highly suspicious of any kill abled characters that come forward and claim fellowship at this point personally. Also, I don't think it would be out of character for our opposition to have some sort of investigative role within the flavor.
Shiri2009-10-03 04:07:59
Very unlikely, Vendetta (the last bit about more kills.) I think the best we can hope for is a rezz on Dags.
Lorick2009-10-03 04:08:18
What? Lies! You bought some time with Candy... Least, someone did whom I recall as you.
Arix2009-10-03 04:08:29
I'm tempted to try one of the hookers. The 200 gold one is a guy though

Yes, but given what our first "shop" is like, I wonder if we can really count on that as a possibility. Might have less elbow room for mistakes in the future than we think.
Shiri2009-10-03 04:10:32
As for investigative role, that adds up, but it doesn't lead to the conclusion Vendetta wanted. She was saying she thought they might know who Daganev was even before that. It's possible, but it's a bit out there.
Arix2009-10-03 04:10:52
wait, my character is a woman, why do I keep forgetting that

Well, it's two days to the next shop. We are down a Dag and a Othero, and I'm starting to feel like I might be the next target since the mafia would be fairly certain it's got most of the fellowship kill roles at this point. What the hell, you only live once. Shiri, Vendetta, whom would you agree was the most likely lynch target today?
