Report #137 Skillset: Healing Skill: Aurawarp

Of course when asked by the admins repeatedly 8 months ago for this to be nerfed, they refused.

If anyone here actually goes to read report 137 they will see that not a single envoy agreed with you and only one of them was even a healer, so this wasn't even a partisan decision.

There are mutliple ways which I have detailed in the report to use blind or anorexia to utterly lock a person up, the requirement once again is for the inflicted to leave the room but we see how easy it is to do that when you have 4-5 seconds to follow. 2p is a very low cost for such a great skill and I think we all have seen the difficulty of 'leaving the room' with the choked tumblespam.

The requirement in choke is to leave the room period. Everyone knows that. Trying to say the requirement in choke and aurawarp is to leave the room is just a no brainer. You already had to leave the room to drop the choke.

You were also told, in that report, the various alternative ways to cure afflictions that are not blocked by aurawarp, and a system coded for aurawarp will know when to heal and when not to. Aurawarp does not stop you curing for 30 seconds, it stops you curing for a small portion of that. Again all things you were told in that report.

All this being said, Succumb should always cure first on reishi, which incidentally was also said in report 137.

Edit:: I forgot to mention... most of the afflictions you rattled off in that report a healer can't give without external influence - angel/fae - both of which can be killed. Yes yes, I know, group fights, blah blah... Got news for you. Everything is OP in group fights.

Your inability to read and comprehend is bordering on amazing. I gave you pointed examples of how your middle stanza has no such trade-off for the synergistic song, nor the others, and here you are ignoring it. Once again you don't "think the two complimentary songs should be broken up" but you still have nothing to back it up. No math, no situational examples, and no comparisons to other specs in which the same trade-off is made. You sent me a message that says exactly the same thing as you said here, but you did it in private as to not be slapped around for your normal brand of garbage. You had to message me because you had already played the martyr card in public, nice try.

So many of your reports and responses are directly from the person I didn't name (oddly you knew exactly who without me giving hints) and it is glaringly obvious to anyone who has ever spoken to both of you. As for your reports, saying it's "From Charune" doesn't exactly convey the context of the situation when he responded to you saying "it's a bug" by saying "envoy it." With quality shots like "---:
How would this affect them as far as building wounds? Many that i spoke to were concerned about this" and no thought before you regurgitate that kind of thing, surely you can understand why no one has any faith in you. How indeed could anyone ever build wounds without a stun and a two hander??? You mean, there's a spec like that already ????? TRES IMPOSSIBLE!

Exactly why i ended the conversation when i did.

Edit: for the record Charune did say that the change to passing out from hunger was unintended when the monk change was made. He requested that we envoy it as it was not a high priority fix and that it might require an additional mechanic or more complicated change to correct. Report 255 has additional information on the topic if you are currious.

Make reishi cure succumb before aurawarp. Go!

Aurawarp+succumb out of choke is not a legit way to kill anyone who has a system that can adapt to it. I tried it against Ixion (ceren's system, I heard) and it didn't scratch him. Alternatively, I tried it against Ilyarin and he crashed and burned (with epic herb spam to boot).

It is effective in groups, usually, but I solve the aurawarp dilemma in groups by hopping out a room or two, curing, then walking back in. I do it with Gregori quite often and he's yet to really put a dent in me. I've always dealt with healers that way. I know Romero had a huge issue dealing with Veyrzhul as a Celestine that I know I never did. I changed my system to apply for blindness under aurawarp and made a point to leave and cure aurawarp. Tada, easy fix.

I also don't think it's fair to compare choke to crucify chains or blackout oblivion. Choke is OP 1v1, there is no disputing this. Choke is a death sentence most of the time in groups after the most recent change that alerts the entire room to who is choking who. Still powerful, but it just can't be mashed like the things it is compared to or the choker is going to die. Unless Romero or someone wants to argue with me that a SD in choke can keep up with afflictions/wounds/damage from multiple sources while in choke (you can't argue that, because that's what makes choke so dangerous for the target and you'd be undermining your "choke is OP" stance.).

edit: I'd support a nerf to 1v1 choke, but I can't see how it'll only affect 1v1. If it affects both, I'd like to see a suitable replacement for SDs to use in groups.

Choke has a pretty easy fix 1 on 1, I think. Make it so that choke ends immediately if you tumble into a room without shadows. This way you can preset room shadows to make for choke that continues, but you can also forget or not have a room set and be able to escape that way. Also make shadows gustable like contagion if the SD is not in the room.

Just checked the code and fixed spots where the fix was missing.

The stacking blackout shouldn't reoccur.

Please submit actual bugs in the future. There was only one found for this issue, and it was not from a poster in this thread.
