He can't actually fling Soulless. Not enough might.

... that might be a cause of his problems, then, not the skills themselves but a lack of access to them.

If someone attacks my demon for five or so hits, and I don't have to worry about hindering to stay alive, I'm golden. That's all the time I need to get ecto to stick, or starve my opponent, or hit with a sleeplock...
If you're really that worried about your angel, perhaps you should leave it out of the room until you're ready to use it. If you've already summoned it, and it's on-plane, it shouldn't cost power (demons don't). There's even a defense that you can activate for 10p that will make it so that you don't use eq to summon it, if you REALLY need it.
Even as a fellow Guardian, I don't think an unkillable demon/angel is needed.

I just want to reiterate that the part about the life of angels/demons flickering a few times before they explode on opposite planes is a good idea. It doesn't need to be a power buff (god knows Celestines use enough power), just make it the default way it happens.
I know there have been times where I've been following a group or person with a cubix who accidentally steps onto the opposite cosmic plane, and BOOM my entourage is gone. A few ticks before that happens would be great and hardly imbalancing - maybe see if something like that could be envoyed?
Edit: You could even make it dependent on what level of angel/demon you have. A cherub/imp might last 10 seconds before they explode with only 2 ticks, an archangel/archdemon might last a minute.

The only way I could see your ability in the first post as happening is if it where temporary and cost 3 power, and then this, to be honest isn't really something we need I think. Like Avaer said we have enough power costs as is.
Maybe if Channels lowered the cost of resummoning as well, maybe to 3 or 2? For 10 power that seems reasonable, though again I'm not sure its needed.

CELESTIALISM - CHANNELS
Syntax: OPEN CHANNELS
Power: 10
This power will open up aetheric channels between you and summoned planar entities. Once such channels are open, you will not use any equilibrium when summoning (though you must have equilibrium).

I really don't see why people are so concerned about angels. If you are following someone with a cubix, and you lose your angel....cubix back to Celestia and summon another one for free.
The admin have declined angels/demons surviving on the wrong planes. Beating a dead horse.

You still lose the 10 power spent Wrathing the angel though.

Bummer, take it up with the guy who lead you to the wrong plane.
As far as OP goes:

To be honest, any skillset that requires a follower to use shouldn't just be disabled for killing the follower. Ents in Lusternia are a tad smarter and more useful than other muds though, so personally I wouldn't be against a buff for angels to make them untargetable so long as they are _within the Celestine/Nihlists_ presence. Don't know enough about Shadow/Moondancers to make any judgements toward them. The angel/demon could still be killable if you removed the guardian or if they sent it after you while making one of the core iconic abilities of guardians a little less "Kata Kata Kata Kata Kata Kata" move, clear soulless, guardian "kata kata kata kata kata kata... Dead"
