The problem with mushclient is that it's a lot different to zmud/cmud. The initial learning curve to switch over and recode everything is at least 100 hours of coding (if you have never seen lua before but understand the flow like I do) plus playtesting and ironing out bugs. I might just stick with cmud and see if i can't delag the system.

It's the client that's bugged, not the system.

Ah is that so? That sucks, I could always go back to zmud! Zmud wasn't awful and usually got the job done. Is zugg even aware of this problem/is he intending to fix it?

He adamantly insists nothing is wrong.
Desitrus2009-11-24 14:37:15
Actually he blames it on "over-complicated" scripting. He plays Aardwolf, the most you write is a buffbot.

How does burn levels fit into this? :/
Yet another mechanic. Sigh.
Can we please stop getting stuff that makes systems more complex to write? Thanks!

Agreed, especially since what I saw posted looks like you need to apply liniment two times to lower a level, but diagnose shows only three of the six levels (or whatever) and the cure message doesn't indicate the degree of the burn... So much for lining the stream!
Estarra2009-12-23 01:27:17
We can certainly tweak the messages for curing burns if that is an issue.
As there are new skillsets being released, there may be a few new afflictions (like burn levels), but honestly we went out of our way to be as minimal as possible with new additions.

Yes, tweak the cure messages for burns please as well make it pretty obvious when you go up/down a burn level.

Give gaudiguch evileye please. That is all. Oh and let them meld with a flame imp, and let their cool guardian instakill be
Either that or let them craft a sword out of FIRE, and use it to give afflictions light saber style etc except no parry, its all magic attacks. Lot easier to balance.

Murphy, I.. wha.. what?
Murphy2009-12-24 05:11:54
Just spitballing ideas which would rock. Instead of binding an ent as a guardian, bind a huge awesome sword of flame and roll people with it.
And I originally choose a nihilist because I thought we would get some sort of evileye set, then I went mage for runes which I hoped would get buffed (didn't happen). Anyway, I'm still coming off the high of watching avatar in 3d.

Please see Announce 1458. Many of the common afflictions have been added. It's a work in progress! If you find that an affliction isn't being registered by the config option, and you know it is when used with other skills, let us know by bugging.

Anyone have a log-snippet for us non-combattants to ooh and aah over?
