There must be 10 dollars in change here!: Hold 1,000,000 gold.
Spin the Wheel: Play Roulette once.
Hit me: Play Blackjack once.
High Roller: Play Roulette 100 times.
Double Down: Play Blackjack 100 times.
They see me rollin: Win one million gold playing roulette.
Kings and Queens and Guillotines: Win one million gold playing blackjack.

I don't really see why we'd link achievements to quests like that, as that's sort of the idea of Epic Quests...
Not everything has to become an epic quest though, no. Getting a few quests with a similar theme done for an achievement doesn't seem so bad, methinks.

I'm waiting to see the Kaervas achievement (You have way too many honours lines) minus the more unique ones (i.e first planeswalker, but including guild honours) there's about 45 there. Maybe an achievement for 40 lines or so?

I'm not creative enough to come up with achievement titles for these, but:
Reach level 20.
Reach level 50.
Reach level 80.
Reach level 100.
Reach level 20.
Reach level 50.
Reach level 80.
Reach level 100.

Doesn't matter what level ya get, you're always a meatshield. (Especially in low Ur'guard ranks.)

Too bad he doesn't have the most honors.

In all fairness, he would if he still played.

Kata Chameleon - killed x mobiles with Ka Punch
I laughed so hard at this, it was unbelievable. Please make it so.
I also do like Xiel's idea of linking quests together in achievements, despite divine objection. I think there could be a lot of interesting themes to go on. Additionally, there are already help files for 'light', 'dark', 'nature', 'aetherbubble', etc. quests, so I don't see how linking a bunch of them together would be a stretch.
Epic quests get you an honours and an item. Achievements...not as big of a deal in my mind.

I like this idea. Since the mechanic is there, graduating with honors should give an xp boost. It's not like anyone is threatening to get demigod from Newton.
I think this is a bad idea. Newbies don't need xp boost, they level fast enough as it is. Also, without an XP boost, novices can make about 15-20k in newton just from fink/gnome turnins. Give them an xp boost, and that number will be reduced and they will end up with less money coming out of novicehood.
Maybe an XP boost on hitting 21, instead of finishing the collegium.

What if instead of gold or experience boosts, they get supplies? An extra set of h/m/e vials on completion of one, three pipes for another, maybe? A decent (though not-long lasting) shield or a 10-set of 5 herbs?

This would be really nice, herbs or potions. Since getting all those curatives are really expensive.

Well then whoever has the most honours the only reason I say him is because he's always been the one I remember as having a lot.

That depends entirely on your definition of reality.

Anyone suggested one for bringing in N bards or scholars or pilgrims?
Zenon2009-10-18 14:56:00
How about ones for killing X/Y/Z of some particular hunting target (e.g. Kill 100 gorgogs)?

Someone did, as "friend to the wanderers" or the like
