Pathfinding, how I missed thee so.
I knew it was you on that one. My 'Xiel loves pathfinding sense' went off. I pondered that one too, for the same reasons... Pathfinding is so yummy.

I died a little inside when that amulet jumped up 1700 from 500.
I died a little inside that it even was auctioned at all. I'm very frustrated (again) at the admins for putting it up there.

Majorly.

I wish I had credits to bid with and the fact that a lot of the auctions doubled in the last moments of the auction made me sad...and how I wanted the dealers... (and gold from the lotteries to expand my manse >.>)
Some the items are insanely over price in auctions though... On a more related note: is there any chance of any of these auctions being real (that can be normally bought) arties?

They can be - that is the basic description for those who have not been setup. Maylea probably will set hers up for you when she has a minute.
Found a minute.

I wonder what the other IRE's had auctioned off.

That's why I love you.
I had always suspected Maylea liked Goldenrod. Now we know.

That charisma rune was entertaining to watch.
The gauntlets might be idiotic. If it does turn into "jackass runs around setting fire to rooms", well, that's why we have envoys. Nerfing the gauntlets to prevent rampant, useless asshattery, or giving a low/no power full area nature rain within org territories would both work.
That ressurection thing surprised me too, looked like a late action bidding war. It sat around 500 forever.
Personally, for my typical day spending credits on ol' vanilla artifacts was more prudent.

From what I understand, the gauntlets are restricted to 12/day, 1% chance to set room on fire, ignites briarwalls/toads (and presumably people).
Arix2009-10-17 03:38:53
Krellan got the gauntlets? Yeah, you might want to get that anti-gauntlet asshattery report ready to go

I absolutely adore my new honours, and lack thereof.

Awww..... I was hoping I'd be able to be all like... DOCTOR OCTOGONAPUS BWAAAAAAAAAAH and shoot fire at people on an at-will basis. Whatever, I can still shoot fire!
Unknown2009-10-17 03:58:15

Found a minute.
Had to re-touch it. For those who love to read these things, here's the original:
QUOTE
Formed of the rarest of precious metals, this Font of the Gods is as equally precious and rare. In the shape of a silver chalice, the font of itself rests atop a stand of ice blue platinum legs, each shaped like swooping petals or leaves, their ends splayed and smooth. Where the legs meet the base of the font they burst outwards into the curling petals of a carnation, each petal etched with the names of the Elder Gods who have returned to the Basin of Life. Four images have been tooled in rich gold gilding along the surface of the chalice - facing one direction is a depiction of the ever hungering Magnora the Destroyer, her sister Dynara, the Creator opposite of her, palm outstretched with a blossoming flower upon it. Between them on one side is the enigmatic Nameless Son, a tall and beautiful human-like male with his face turned away, long hair flowing. Opposite of His son is the image of the starlit cosmos, the vague impression of a face, that of a wise old man, the flowing script beneath declaring it to be Yudhe the All-Father.

Here's the new:
QUOTE
A faint, green scent arises from the surface of this small Font made of white marble streaked with deep blue. The stone is carved into a stylised shape vaguely floral in origin, though precisely which flower is left to the imagination. Laid precisely into the centre, a triangular mirror made of gold reflects the world in rich, rosy tones, casting each shadow and shape into vivid relief. A series of faint, interlocking lines add texture to the surface of the Font, subtly drawing the eye towards the mirror itself and all the possibility within.
It is strangely weightless.
It bears the distinctive mark of Lendren Starfall, Retired Maven.

Here is Eventru's font:
Elegantly twisting pieces of coral form the greater portion of this sacred
artifact, gently drifting in a vaguely circular nature around a radiant stream
of golden light. A great shell rests atop the small pillar of cosmic energy, its
outer portion a brilliant glistening, pure white while its inside is a smooth,
iridescent pink flecked with gold and platinum streaks and specks. A small
amount of clear, crystalline water sparkles within the depths of the shell,
itself cradled in a network of glistening coral decorated with incandescent
pearls, sparkling sand dollars and a large collection of the white and pale blue
bivalve shells known as angel wings. A smaller variety of shells, many of them
the twisting gifts to the sea of snails and conchs, gently drift about the beam
of cosmic light, joining the pieces of coral in their eternal orbit.
It is strangely weightless.
It bears the distinctive mark of Lady Zynna Val'Andra.
