Yeah, you definitely missed a bunch of reasons out there. Probably you attacked a Moon Avatar and got enemied to MDs and Serenwilde for that reason and thought the former followed from the latter...
I'd be more worried about Harbingers' old practice of enemying people Malarious didn't like than that sort of thing, so I don't know why Serenwilde comes to your mind first...

Malarious usually only enemied those that attacked him, to my knowledge. Regardless, that was his own thing and hardly a Harbinger tradition. We've even unenemied people with no fine involved whatsoever. Generally speaking, getting unenemied to Glomdoring guilds and the commune itself seems to be a relatively inexpensive and quick process compared to some orgs.

I'll give you that it's true for the guilds, but the orders are the most painful. Period. Of all the orgs, I've gotten unenemied to, Glom orders were one of the most expensive.

Last I heard I was just over 30K into a 500K essence unenemying to Nocht...I just want to buy silk, maan...

When I went through a brief period of trying to get unenemied to Serenwilde, after over a month I still could not even get a fine from Seren orders. I've no idea what any Glom order may charge for unenemying, but given that they do give the chance is better than just getting stonewalled.

I'm sure they'd block for the right people too. When I got unenemied to Seren orders, I got fines that were several orders of Magnitude lower than Glom orders. I could likely have gotten unenemied to Charune, Maylea, and Lisaera (twice each) and still payed less than I did for Nocht or Viravain.

Likely so, but even a huge fine is better than not able to be unenemied at all.

@Sheia
Because guild and city/commune leadership can disagree.

I'm sure I wouldn't have gotten unenemied anywhere either if I was as popular as you are in Serenwilde.

Serenguard very rarely enemy anyone. You have to do something to specifically piss us off.
And Divine Orders are very reluctant to unenemy someone, because then the Shrines don't work anymore.

yeah, I was a bit surprised about that one. I mean, I didn't do anything to some of the guilds that enemied me the first time around but the Serenguard I thought for sure would've done so and never did!

A bit late in response, but I just saw this. Actually, I'd gotten unenemied to Serenwilde itself and a couple of guild- but at least one guild wanted me to get unenemied to an Order, and there was no fine forthcoming from the Order. Moot point at the moment now anyway. Hey, I did try to play nice but if not given the opportunity one might as well press onward.

I must have been a special case, then. When I got enemied, it was for killing guards! Sensible enough, but guard killing is hardly rare.
On the flip side, when I did come around to ask about a fine and gave the reason for my branding, I was literally told "Uh, make up your own fine I guess".
