I think that the issue isn't so much that the admins are stepping in, but how they're stepping in. I mean honestly, revolts that help an org is a much different creature then intentionally excluding a whole commune from being able to participate in harmless fun.
...What else were they going to do? Seriously.

1. My attacks at that time were based on being tired of Tynghall coming into northern serenwilde and chopping down trees and snorting spores back to the master ravenwood constantly. I even told Arylion, Nyir and Ried to keep him out and I would stay out. They didn't.
I don't remember this at all. In fact, Ried and Gregori didn't start talking until Ried moved to Serenwilde.

And just to remind you, I'm neither Glom, nor Celestian, nor anything at this point. Ask anyone, the last time I did something meaningful in-game was about 4 months ago, and that was simply getting myself unenemied.

I wasn't at all referring to the events.
Edit:: Eventru also has the right to say who can and cannot participate in any event he starts. There is no rule that a hamster hunt must include everybody. If he chose to use that as some form of punishment then that is within his rights as both an Admin and an RP God.

There are a lot of "rights" in this world. Just because you have the ability to exercise said "right", doesn't mean you should. In Eventru's case, this was true.

Given Eventru is still an Admin, and God, your very hilarious hypocrisy would seem to fall in the category of... wrong.

Yet when it comes down to it, Eventru is still a player, and a volunteer for Iron Realms Entertainment. We have rules, God's have rules. Just like in real life, employees have rules when they go to a job. Just like with police officers, they have the right to shoot a gun, but that doesn't mean they always should. I don't exactly see anywhere in my statement that is hypocrisy.

This must be some form of forum record where a...passionate thread like this has lasted 10 pages and counting without an admin zealously locking.
Edit: Wait nvm, I spoke too soon, it's starting to go downhill.

If there is a concern about an admin, we welcome you to issue, or email support@lusternia.com. Estarra herself deals with such cases. The forums isn't an appropriate place to address such concerns! Thank you.

I feel like you could write a whole book of forum-relevant "beatitudes". I'd so buy it.

I think this level of oppression of Serenwilde is okay. As long as it doesn't last for ... however long it lasted for Glom.
I thought it was refreshing!

Now I may have missed the point, and I likely did, but I'm not sure if a volunteer admin excluding one org from a virtual hamsterhunt is the same as an officer of the law shooting a gun. Also, I'm fairly certain this is the first time that an org has been excluded - which is likely well within his right as the host of the event to do.

Actually, I spoke to him, and I told him that if he wants to chop down moonhart trees, I expected him to be the one to replant every ravenwood that gets chopped down in response to his actions. That's not stopping him necessarily, but it was making him shoulder the responsibility. I don't recall any moonharts being chopped after I spoke to him, and I don't recall any ravenwoods being chopped in response to it. Maybe we have had lots of ravenwoods chopped so it's a bit of a blur as to when they specifically were chopped, but that's what happened on my end!

I'm fairly certain she was illustrating a valid point. But hey, let's hope that the next time Glomdoring gets beaten down the same zeal and creativity is applied.

..."the same zeal and creativity" was applied when Glomdoring was getting beat down. Did you forget about the whole revolt because the baby was being killed thing? When you compare that to a hamster hunt that Glomdoring didn't get to participate in, the zealous creativity seems tipped more to Glomdoring. I think the reason Glomdoring was left out of this Hamsterhunt was likely because watching the same people from Glomdoring succeed in another feat would be incredibly discouraging to the rest of us.
Now I'm obligated to say "If the shoe were on the other foot, I'd feel differently" but let's face it the hypocrisy in this thread is astounding as is so I'm not going to.
Urazial2009-11-04 23:49:53
The baby issue was quite reasonable, given that it was so easy to disrupt a quest. It made sense both in fairness of mechanics and ICly.
EDIT: It was like three or four events, I believe, not just a hamster hunt. As for discouraging, again, I'm sure it was discouraging for Glom players for the past few years. And at times Magnagora and Celest, but eh.
