Sure, just let me set up that Hartstone forest in Angkrag right now.

Angkrag is its own special PITA case, if only because of all the undeath.

I'm amazed you can still pre-meld a village. I thought it was changed a long time ago to automatically unmeld when a village revolted, but I guess it's only when a village is won.
And, the fact that Glomdoring comes out on top in a six-way free-for-all says something about their level of organization and skill, but it also says they're still somewhat of a super-org. Who has the most demigods and ascendants? Who has/had the most Domoths? Still Glomdoring, for now.
When does Urazial actually sleep, anyway, I wonder?

Shrines (and guards/discretionaries, of course) are destroyed, melds are not, not even when you win. Those poor mages and druids have to go through and change the entire place to the proper environment.
EDIT: And yes, the advantage does lie with the incumbent when it comes to maintaining or premelding a village. For one thing, there's the whole enemystatus/guards shebang to deal with, and of course the fact that you need to watch out for the enemy org coming after you.
