So which super-ultimate-ultra-megazord assemble-edition comes with all the DLC pre-loaded?
Lehki2009-11-11 17:48:06

Merik2009-11-12 03:08:13

Mine was Dog, Morrigan, Sten up to getting Assassin which replaced Sten, and then Shale who replaced dog. I was a tank type though so, eh.

I caved and bought it.
How long does the game take on the second run through? (I'm not asking about first run through because of the exploration and learning curve etc.)

Lost the assassin. I guess he didn't like me enough. Also lost Shale, because I took the bad route in Orzammar while she was in my party and went all 'OH HELL NO' on me and attacked me.
My second run through took me about 25 hours, but I wasted a lot of time. Could probably cut it down under 20 if you didn't try and be a huge completionist with all the sidequests.
Llandros2009-11-12 18:55:28
I'm about 2/3rs the way through and the game is starting to get buggy on me.
The warden's keep dlc just went poof and i lost all the eq that came from that dlc as well as all the eq i was keeping in storage there

Yeah, there are a lot of bugs.
Worst one for me so far is that sometimes the voices in cutscenes will just..stop. The characters face will keep moving, I'll keep getting options to continue the conversation, but the voices just stop. Kind of kills it when you're not using subs.

Damn, what ever happened to 40-80 hr computer games?
well atleast I can safely play it for only 1 hr a day or so.
Is the community worth getting involved in? Seems like a bit of a gimmick to me.
edit: any quest bugs I should be warry about? Planescape:Torrment had some really bad quest bugs that made me unable to finish the game, and I didn't want to play through everything again.
Saran2009-11-13 03:05:05
Anyone else know about the levelling bug?
The quest with the wardens to get the darkspawn blood and contracts, if you go back without the contracts you get xp still and can repeat til cap.

They still exist. Half of the content always comes out in DLC after a few weeks Dag.
Desitrus2009-11-13 16:31:45
Only bugs I had were repeated cutscenes when rescuing party members in dreamscape and opening inventory crashing randomly.
Both cases are easily solved with f5 quick-save constantly, heh.
Last Archdemon fight sequence also crashed me constantly.

But all of that is optional, and thus doesn't really add to the amount of time it takes to run through the game.
Sure there is more re-playability, but that's not what I'm talking about.
When I ask about bugs, I mean bugs that prevent gameplay from continuing. I just don't want to hit f5 at the wrong time, and then be forced to starte the game over again.
Merik2009-11-13 18:31:07
Why would you expect a replay to be 50 hours long? You know exactly where to go for everything so it takes much less time. The only game I've ever had a second or higher playthrough be nearly that long was in Mass Effect when I was achievement whoring and you had to get 90%+ completion with each party member.

Ok, it's not just me, and not a 90s thing, or maybe it is.

I haven't heard of any bugs like that.
There is one that the bloody grasp ability for mages keeps the debuff icon on you long after it actually wears off but that's only slightly annoying and doesn't really affect gameplay.
Also, be sure not to enter the alien space fleet and ally yourself with the ghost of christmas past and start using the plasma lazers or the game will reformat your hard drive.

That article was for the first playthrough though. My first was 40+ hours, soooo...
