This is more or less what I was thinking when I encountered the Broodmother.
Ok, this area is getting reeeeeal creepy. Seriously, this is worse than Dead Space.
I wonder when I'll find the last piece of Legion armor. I hope I didn't miss a piece.
I hate it when things get silent. I almost wish some darkspawn would attack.
Oh my GodwhatisthatKILLITkillitnowitNEEDSTODIE.

Sadly, I found a quest that is all messed up if you do things in the wrong order. (namely the one with the hospice in the elven Alienage)
Also, I'm very sad that I can't beat the archdemon (I fought it for 5 hours before I gave up)

All melee?

No
AOE mage, master archer rogue(lelina?), healer(wynn), and anti-missle melee(alistair). And the armor /weapons are not really all that specialized. Never really needed it till now. Earthquake, Tempest, and Blizzard seemed to always kill off the opposition.

How are you unable to finish then? I was so retarded when I got to him he couldn't even touch me, the only reason it took three tries is because he was bugged and kept flipping out and crashing the game, heh.

Maybe it's a bug, but none of the AOE attacks hurt the dragon. I have to manual everything. And when the dragon hits 50% health, nothing save the balistas do any damage, and they break before I can finish it off, so I'm just stuck there doing no damage, and the dragon sitting on it's perch doing nothing but hitting me with vortex.
I saw a youtube video that did it in 10 minutes, so maybe I'll try again.

Ballistas break? O_o
I've never had one break on me before.

If true, that's very cool. (wonder what causes it)
Desitrus2009-12-08 03:29:08
There were ballistas? Just summon elf army when he goes to the other side and they'll kill him.
Daganev2009-12-14 00:59:50
So I had some spare moments, and tried to kill the archdemon again, and it was much easier this time. I just controlled the melee characters instead of using the AOE affects.
But now I'm curious, and searching online is giving me the wrong results. Is there a way to find all the potential movieclips from the game and watch all of them? Or do I have to replay the game to find slight differences in outcome here and there?

I've seen people watching the other endings, I think there's some sort of clip repository I'll ask where they found it.

Yeah, in the old days there was a folder hidden on your computer somewhere, and you just needed a special "game player" to view the clips and you could watch all the story content.

In the endgame, Balistas can jam and you need Disable Device to unjam it.
As far as "previewing other scenes", Daganev, that doesn't work because I think 99% of all scenes use the In Game Engine--much like the way Half Life does it. There is a Bink video credit but I believe that's only for the opening video and the map of Ostagar. The game has to use the engine since you can customize your character and they are part of the cutscenes. Because of all the possible permutations involved you won't be able to do anything simple like that. You should replay it because the game is a bit different depending on the origin and choices you make.
You can find people who are dedicated and use FRAPS and post their games to YouTube.

Oh how I wish I could. I'm trying to find a compromise with my wife
YouTube might be a good idea.

Just bought and began playing. This game is unreasonably awesome; someone has managed to spin pure epic high-fantasy, D&D-esque (without the overkill) and weaves it into a solid plot before my very eyes.
First PS3 RPG that seems it won't be a disappointment.

Did you buy the game new? My copy came with a "card" that had two redeemable codes; one for The Stone Prisoner and the other for some excessively sleek, shiny armor I am not going to bother downloading for fear of imbalance.
.....Did anyone find the enemies frustratingly over-nine-thousand after the first couple of arcs? I've come to a point in the story where the creators decided to pit the player against hordes of mutant ubermensch without his party, not that they do a whole lot when present. Admittedly, I haven't exactly been utilizing the few tactics slots I have to much of an effect, because that would take effort. It is annoying that they felt they needed to limit tactics slots according to character skill-level, rather than them just be a given, essential as they are to avoid the tedium of micro-managing.
I am beginning to regret my Sword & Shield Warrior.

I actually found the game got easier, with the earlier parts being the hardest. I definitely used tactics, though. What does your party look like? On Normal difficulty this game is actually pretty easy, save for a few parts.
Also, go ahead and use the blood dragon armor. It isn't unbalanced - there are actually several sets better than it in the game.
