...that is disgusting.

Can't we just vote for no-lynch? Odds are VERY high that we're going to hit someone innocent no matter who we pick.

Vote: No lynch?

Yeah, this feels familiar.

VOTE: NO LYNCH

Vote: No lynch because I still don't see how killing Tervic gets us anywhere. He doesn't appear to be following any of the identifying conditions, any lynch is very likely to hit an innocent, and that probability is even worse since we know Xavius is non-vanilla. And if Tervic turns out to be vanilla (hence the laughing comment), the conversion person will just hit some other vanilla role.

Mod question: Do mentions of role names like Daganev's use of "orb" in the above post allow the numerologist to kill someone?

If Daganev were one, yes. Am I paranoid? Yes.

Also, you're gross, Llandros. Disgusting.

Comments like this, is what makes me want to vote for Tervic.

Voting no lynch seems to be the worst idea for this game suggested yet.

Also, we don't know for certain if the post restrictions are real or not.

Won't that ensure that everyone follows them?

We're voting for Tervic because he aggroed and OMGUS'd on me when I voted for him on a hunch while pointing out the errors in a theory he suggested and suspecting him of being one of the Jokers, which says to me that he has something to hide.

Unknown2009-11-13 06:04:41
Yes, but don't we not want to lynch the jokers? Lynching them means less town are converted to useful roles, right?
Tekora2009-11-13 06:22:49
Useful roles? You mean investigators? Here we go again with the overdependency on roleclaims.

Why in anyone's right mind would you want to give up an opportunity to get an early lynch on a Joker before they can manage to convert someone to a dangerous role like the Young Voter or one of the Nightkillers?
Unknown2009-11-13 06:43:45
Someone said earlier on that it would be idiotic to kill a joker. I'm just wondering why that was said.
Kiradawea2009-11-13 10:30:39
No. We want to kill the jokers as they are the current scum in the game.

Joker = Makes people not vanilla.
Jester = Most spiteful role in any game with an obnoxious win condition.

Frankly, my vote is sticking to Tervic. His whole attitude at the moment just screams "I am Joker" to me right now, and yes we want him away. If we get a Joker tonight, then we know that, besides the ghost-something that might be out there, we'll have no new threaths on the following two nights as the new conversions will become a part of the Jester trio. This makes it quite possible for us to win before the SKer and killing ghosts arrive. And that is a good thing, and something we do not succeed at by not lynching anyone. All no-lynch will do is for certain giving the Jokers more time to create crazy orb-killers. Do YOU want to be stuck in a zoom machine?

Why would anyone nightkill a jester? That's just dumb.
Ah this is the post I was thinking of. Confused joker and jester. (why are they called jokers, btw? Never heard this term before, but this conversion-style mafia is new to me)
Llandros2009-11-13 15:52:02
I still feel that it would be worth the effort to at least force a role clame from Tervic. Even though it would be largely uneffective since it could change but we should still do something before going for no lynch.
Dugan2009-11-13 16:22:48
Can we get an up-to-date vote list?

You didn't point out -any- relevant errors in the theory. I already told you multiple times that there were non-joker ways to convert, but you seem steadfastly intent on ignoring that game mechanic.

I already have. You people just need to follow the clues.

Am I paranoid? Hell yes. *blink blink blink*

Your clues suck, and anybody who is scum likely knows what you are by now.

We NEED to kill the Joker to win the game. (both of them)

If my clues suck so bad, how will they know what I am?

Because they have information that the rest of us don't, and will be able to piece things together.

Seriously? Here's my card when you're ready to take things a little more seriously.

Here is the Jester card

very easily confused. It is strange that they have a "Joker" role. But it makes sense. A Joker is a wildcard who turns everybody else into something different and unkown.

A Jester is a fool, who wants to be lynched.

Heh wasn't sure if the term was something that cropped up during another Mafia game. Plus, we all know how much Casilu likes Batman, so I was thinking it might be some Lusty-forms special title.

Yeah, I stole the whole concept of lazy mod from mafia scum, I just keep changing it now.

Also, Tervic, if you are hinting at a role, I'm not seeing it, sorry. Better to just out and say it, since I don't think the grey lady has been put into effect, so you can't be killed for saying it. Hinting at it while not saying it will just risk people not knowing if you are useful, while others might - which just means you're more likely to get lynched and double likely to get nightkilled and not protected (if slimer (our pseudo doctor. I guess.....) gets awake).
