That's exactly what Daganev is saying.

For some reason, he thinks they could communicate.

*sigh* That's not what I am saying at all.

Firstly, Xavius never "defended" Sadhydra.

This is what happened.
Bali says "vote sadhydra", Xavius says "you know too much, lynch him!"
Then Xavius has this whole wierd thing about Casilu not knowing what a vanilla is, and her count is off. Then he says he got PMs that were "oops" and he had to "ignore them". He was doing this as part of his defense for why there wasn't enough non-vanillas for ro sham and bo. He was very cryptic about it, but it seemed to me like he was doing the following.

He found out from some other source that sadhyra wasn't vanilla (I'm guessing he tried to target her and was told to try again, or he got a pm meant for her sent to him.) He then tried to convert bali, and hoped that we would lynch him, and then Xavius would be "confirmed" as being on the town side for getting bali lynched. But we lynched bali instead of Sadhydra for his plan to work. Or something similiar to to that. It wasn't luck as much as it was Xavius telling us all the info he knows in a very round about way.

... I did not understand that! Sorry if I'm being obtuse.

I don't think Rika's acting strange or anything, she always talks/plays in this manner.

It's hard since he was talking in rhyme. Which is why I didn't go into the details in the first place. But if you read over what Xavius said, you can see that Xavius was trying to build up a defense by outing the people he targeted. (without trying to be obvious about it)
Dugan2009-12-03 19:42:09
I can sort of see what Dag is getting at.

VOTE: Rika.

I don't see how that has anything to do with voting for Rika at all.

Dag's idea is the following, if I understand him correctly:
1) Xavius talked about Rika.
2) Xavius' strategy consisted of subtly hinting at those he converted (to protect himself from lynching by revealing those who aren't spherical).
3) Therefore, it is logical to assume that Rika is somebody Xavius targetted.

Seems to be the best plan of action right now, unless there's another hypothesis.
Fern2009-12-03 23:14:38
I must be incredibly dense lately. That makes complete sense.

Unvote.

Vote: Rika

Umm, I can't find a single post where Xavius mentions Rika...

But replace the name Rika with Sadhydra and you are correct.

I am voting for rika now because she insists (repeated it multiple times) that it was pure luck. To me the only reason to say this is to try to discredit future bandwagons based on the same type of inuendo. (which leads me to believe she is involved in the cult in some way)
Rika2009-12-03 23:30:13
No, you're wrong. I'm a class one vanilla ghost. There's my defence. Go ahead, waste a lynch on a vanilla when there's a cult around.
Unknown2009-12-04 23:19:20
Doot doot.

Vote Rika
Fern2009-12-04 23:29:32
Unvote
Dugan2009-12-05 00:26:07
Any specific reason you decided to unvote Fern?
Fern2009-12-05 04:51:01
Because I still maintain that it was a stroke of luck that we nailed both the jokers in a row like we did.

And I don't think Rika's being suspicious at all.
Aerotan2009-12-05 06:14:06
So, at present the best course of action seems to be to lynch Rika, then if she's cultmaster, we win. If she's cult but not master we look elsewhere, and if she's neither we gank Daganev.

That sound about right?

Vote: Rika
Rika2009-12-05 06:19:45
Might as well go for Daganev now then.

Why Daganev?
Aerotan2009-12-05 07:55:37
As I recall, he's the one who spearheaded the "Lynch Rika" train, but if he's not, then we'll focus on the one who did. If you have a better suggestion for a target tomorrow, then we'll get to it then.
Shiri2009-12-05 08:00:51
He is, but he also lynched Xavius and Sadhyra. As did a bunch of people. Even if Rika is a vanilla (and how sure are we we'll be able to tell if we grab someone who's culted but not the leader?) the reasoning for going for her is solid so I'm not prepared to lynch anyone on that evidence alone.
Rika2009-12-05 08:06:18
This is boring. There is nothing I can say that will convince you guys otherwise, so I'll just. vote: Rika

Wondering if you guys will get lucky again and find whatever else you have to find.
