Addendum: And if there are Class 2 ghosts roaming around, we'll deal with that when it comes. I'm still voting for you regardless.

I think the cultist would likely be one of the 3 non-vanillas too. I think we probably have 2 ghostbusters, 1 cultist. Then the lips/eyes/whatever will turn into random ghosts/power roles tomorrow and the day follows. Although I suppose its possible its 1 ghostbuster, 1 cultist, 1 ghost right now.

I say we refrain from lynching Xavius for now. In fact, I almost recommend not killing him at all, because I'm pretty sure that, if he is in fact Ro Sham or Bo, that he's going to be the only one rhyming. Killing him off now only increases the chances of the jokers winning, not lowers it, untill we can definitively point at two of them and eliminate them properly.

How does it increase the chances?

Clearly, we just need to avoid night kills untill Sham or Bo is lynched.

That is, by lynching Xavius now, we give any serial killers or mafia types incentive to NOT kill at night.

Because they lose if they kill off a member of Ro Sham Bo.

So you think we have 1 baddie out of 17? The odds of us getting that right are pretty low.

In the last lazy mod game, I figured out that Shiri was the Joker on day 1. Odd's arn't really that low.

Truth is, we have a few suspects right now, but no further information about those people to make any judgements.

Ok, I'm going to backtrack a bit to see if I understand what's happening. Casilu is the "Joker" and each night she'll "convert" people somehow. Each time they get converted, they move up the classes. And it just so happens that Xavius was converted twice so now he is a class three Ro/Sham/Bo ghost.

Casilu is the mod....

There are two "jokers" in this game. (damn I have to look up the ghosts name, but they are the class 7 ghosts)
Daganev2009-11-09 21:06:52
these are the "jokers"

Vigo The Impaler: () You win when there are no vanilla townies left in the game.
Every night, you can convert someone away from vanilla, you do not know what the role they get is.

Gozer the Gozerian: () You win when there are no vanilla townies left in the game.
Every night, you can convert someone away from vanilla, you do not know what the role they get is.
Rika2009-11-09 21:14:40
Hmm. So we are in agreement with everything else then? It doesn't make sense to me how two people start off as class seven ghosts.
Aerotan2009-11-09 21:17:49
I have to concede to that logic. As long as we lynch Ro, Sham, or Bo, those with nightkills should at the very least be more careful about how to use them...Option two is to lynch someone else, and if it isn't Ro, Sham, or Bo, we can let someone with a nightkill peg Xavius. And if we win the lotter and it IS one of the three, we can proceed to lynch him tomorrow.

I never said the Ghostbusters were vanilla, I said they were town. And your theory STILL doesn't make sense.

If there REALLY ARE two Ghostbusters right now like you say, then that would mean that going off the information we have right now, Xavius is the third non-vanilla, him being Ro. And if our 3 non-Vanilla roles are 2 Ghostbusters and Ro, then that leaves us with no conversion roles and as I said before, a very short game. Thus, YOU'RE the one that's wrong and voting for me has only raised my suspicion of you because now it looks like you're trying to get rid of me because I'm on your case.

Congratulations, all your OMGUS has done is solidify my vote on you.

There's this thing called bluffing. People are doing it.

Even if there are no conversion roles present, there are 3 classes that auto-convert without outside intervention.

I'm gonna stop slamming my face on the brick wall now.

Totally possible, but I still think that 3 'busters is more probable, with the power-ghost roles developing next game day.

As an addendum, I'm just going to sit back and laugh uproariously if/when the lynch goes through.

Ghostbusters- There will only be one set of Ghostbusters for the game and that's you!

Doesn't that mean that there's only one "Ghostbusters". ONE SET is one person.

Right...?
Unknown2009-11-09 22:44:58
That's what I thought.
Tervic2009-11-09 22:49:21
Not necessarily.

If it stated one set of equipment, then sure.

Also, one ghostbuster can't cross the streams, and anyone who knows the lore probably knows how important this might be.

I also read it as only one ghostbuster person.

However, based on this it sounds to me like Tervic and Xavius are basically saying that Tervic, Xavius and the person Bali fingered are the three ghostbusters.

If this isn't what you are trying to say, then what are you trying to say?

who exactly are you refering to here? Which Lynch?

@Aerotan: Your "option 2" makes no sense. If someone nightkills Xavius, there is a HIGH probabilty that we will accidently lynch Sham or Bo and thus they would win. Our only real option is to make sure we lynch two of them with no nightkill of one of them in between.
Xavius2009-11-10 00:19:48
To the speculation, I have but this to say: if faking a post restriction, Grey Lady's the way. Rhyming is fun, and rhyming is grand, but my posting speed is like sprinting through sand.

I do not dissuade you from killing me now, but Tervic has sweat built up on his brow. I still say that Bali is hiding his cards, and he would be best hung by his neck in the yard. Tervic's assumption is wrong, this we know, but it's a stretch now to think that it's all just a show. Wrongness can be from so many things taken, here's likely naught but creativity forsaken. He made up a theory, I know it is wrong, but ignored it can be if the group will be strong.
Fern2009-11-10 00:45:47
Sorry, Xavius, I get your point that rhyming takes forever, but several games back, Kiradawea was posting in the style of a reporter just for kicks, so I'm not going to eliminate the possibility you are faking just because rhyming in your posts sucks.
