I have currently been annoying Meir with the five billion random ideas that seem to float through my head regarding upgrading Starhymn, and was wanting to get a few opinions regarding such before I give my awfully super long mind numbingly boring suggestions to him.
My current issues (may not be others):
- No overall theme like the other bard guilds
- Lack of hindering capabilities
- Princessfarewell....
Random Idea for theme that have been removed:
- Starlight/Stars - Ended up being too much like astrology
- Cold/Aeon based (Being deprived of the warmth of the Light... blah blah blah)
- Proselytizing for the Light
We need some love!

Spiritsingers had a cold theme a while back if I'm reading the Octave newsposts right.
In short, it was awful. I'd suggest a non-cold-based theme.
Is the current theme historical? I see princessfarewell, so you could run with a historical theme (Old Celest, the Holy Empire, etc.)

In terms of theme, as I gather, Starhymn is centered around Supernal effects with a smattering of water/light thrown in (StarLight, EverSea) - parallel, I might note, to Necroscream's Demon Lord and Taint effects. If Starhymn's got no theme, we've got no theme either.

It's the sleep one that was horrible. The cold thing came when the SS got their transient OP crown.

Well it revolved around stipping of fire potion, shivering, all that stuff.. just chorale giving more afllictions while shivering... blah blah blah but then I remember aquamancers can do that already...
Was going the whole historical route with the whole aeon thing and this idea of "memories"

There's four I can think of: CarillonKnell, SickeningPlague, WrathfulCanticle, and BlackDeath.

Ah, point. I was only thinking of the ones that gave plague afflicts.
