More like, it's only been 17 hours!

I think Rika's referring to her 7th ability, and relying on scum to vote early to keep themselves from falling prey to that.

How can town use this fact?

Don't see your point.

Have everyone unvote so that we have 2/4 scum in the 4 non-voting parties, with only 12.5% risk to the 2 townies but a 50% kill chance on the scum. Nice catch.

Whatever Siam's posting better be long and detailed.

Okay, just finished reading now.

I believe it's unfair to vote people based on their abilities at day 1. And regarding as to how dangerous I am if I were scum (which seems to be the major argument at the moment, started by Shiri), please refer to the words in bold in Casiliu's post below.

QUOTE (casilu @ Dec 10 2009, 02:40 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Not really. Look at most of the games with Shiri, a large number of players follow his ideas without thinking on many occasions. When he is scum, the first person to always disagree with him on anything is Dagipoo. That's usually how it goes.

And muffin, let me simplify it, then. The same roles that could cause the most damage to the town could also cause the most damage to the scum. The doctor might accidentally protect one at night. Though, if any of the daykillers are scum, they're the least we have to worry about. We can see who they target and their reasons for doing so. Scum would be stupid to try and use one of the weird daykill abilities because we could judge them for it, muffin.

As for Shiri's rollercoaster posts, I got confused back there, because:

-He started the "let's vote for the most dangerous roles the scum can have" when in fact the scum is only Kefka and Ultros, which leads me to:

QUESTION FOR XAVIUS:

Does the scum have TWO sets of powers? I mean, we did chose which role we liked. You said if we do not get role pms, then we're town. What about those who did get them? Do they still retain the powers their chosen roles possessed or does their being Kefka and Ultros nullify their earlier preference?

It was supposed to be long, but then I noticed everything I quoted was summed up in Casilu's post

He already answered me on page 4. They have both roles/powers.

Oh, thanks. Somehow I missed that. I'll try to check.

This just occured to me:

You know, if we did start randomly voting for people in day 1, they could've defended themselves by saying how their role is beneficial to town. Dunno, just a thought

As Silferras pointed out, we should be more concerned about the people who are randomly voting.
Rika2009-12-10 09:22:24
I'm starting to get suspicious of Shiri, who is reading these posts and not doing anything, btw.
Siam2009-12-10 09:22:38
Sorry for the multiple posts.

Which leads me to think that Shiri was just trying to start a discussion which would allow people to get vibes off others, however, Casilu did point out the difference of the amount of time it took for him to reply to others and to Daganev. I dunno, but I think that's something.
Siam2009-12-10 09:24:10
Bah, forgot to say that I won't be voting just yet. I'll check again later to see how things turn out.

Siam is sure spamming a lot of posts at a time we don't know how long we have to unvote for Rika's move to kick in (note: if Rika is scum, she has what my potentially terrible maths indicates to be a 37%ish chance of killing a townie and -still- might kill the other scum as long as no one is voting. If she's a townie she has a good chance of doing something productive.)

unvote as a gesture of good faith. Vote going back on Casilu in two pages, or if Rika uses her move.

I'm not scum.

So that just leaves me with 5 people.

I suggest waiting for everyone to unvote before using Swordtech. That way we don't put any townies in unnecessary danger, and maximise the scum getting caught in it, since I wouldn't be surprised if they're both voting at the moment. Of course, if anyone refuses to unvote, or doesn't unvote within a reasonable amount of time, we'd have our lynch targets.

@Siam: When I woke up, this thread was on page 4. Why I remembered when Xavius answered my question. smile.gif
