I couldn't really trust the rest of you not to stuff it up for me despite me dropping hints of when I wanted you to stop posting and let me finish my move. Kind of annoyed I didn't get a single scum at all, but I don't think it'd be that much of a stretch to say that at least one of the five voters are scum. That gives us more information than we had before.
I'm going to vote: Kira now. For voting early to avoid being hit and also for unvoting over an hour after I already did swordtech.

Query: Why the FoS on Kira? By unvoting, it puts her in the 'at-risk' pool, since if I understand the powers correctly, QuadraSlice/slam only hit 'non-voting' parties. I'd like some clarification on the logic, please.
For reference:
4: QuadraSlam 25% chance to kill each of four non-voting parties.
7: QuadraSlice 12.5% chance to kill each of four non-voting parties. Non-voting scum (or town, if scum-aligned) will always be included in this, and their kill rate is increased to 50%.
Although, Kira's no dummy and wouldn't willingly put herself at-risk unless there were a good reason for it.... Well, would still like convincing since my brain is focused on phi29 DNA polymerase and the human genome at the moment, and not on Mafia.

She unvoted AFTER the swordtech went into affect, meaning it was a useless unvoting, only there to make it look like she was cooperating.

Aha, got it.
But then if people were already suspicious of Kira, then why did Rika swordtech even though she -knew- Kira was voting? Or did the suspicion only come after the unvote?

Read two posts above. Basically, I figured if Shiri didn't get my hints of my original plan, I didn't expect the rest of you to get the hint of when I started to charge.

I don't follow... Maybe it'd help more if I knew which swordtech fired.
What I see so far is "I knew that scum would probably vote, so I used an ability that only kills people who aren't voting". How does this make sense?
Rika2009-12-10 19:13:27
Well, I know which one fired. It was number 7, Quadraslice. Hence post 200 and me firing swordtech on post 201, at the beginning of page 11.
And I was hoping that I would catch a scum not voting. I didn't, so I can with more assurance say that at least one of the scum is in 5 who were voting.

Hrm. How? Your ability was not 100% positive to hit a scum, it still had a chance of failure not too. You took out a town with your ability which fired off at 4am when the vast majority of people playing were asleep and didn't have a chance to unvote. The whole business of one of the scum in five who were voting is not based on fact, it is based on an assurance.

Mrh, I don't like it but I'm willing to give you benefit of the doubt at the moment, since I agree that Kira's actions are far more suspicious. It seems to me like using one of your Quadra powers was inordinately risky, given that there's an overwhelming majority of town AND you suspected that at least one scum was in the voting pool and thus immune to your attack.
VOTE: KIRADAWEA
Also, I frikkin hate Savato. Stop reminding me of it
EDIT: Clarification: added the word, 'Quadra'

The chances of getting more than 1 hit from three 12.5% hits is less than the chance of getting a single 50% hit. I was willing to take this chance.

As far as I understood it, Rika's slash forcibly included non-voting scum and upped their kill chance to 50%.
So if X and Y are scum, Rika Quadraslashes:
12.5% for person A to die
12.5% for person B to die
50% for person X to die
50% for person Y to die
Each of them being rolled individually.
And chances are I was included in there, but since I get the best out of random situations, I may have avoided that entirely. Though I wouldn't call percentages 'random situations', still glad I lived.
In re: Kiradawea, I will agree she's suspicious but I won't do more than FoS. The post took place at 4AM my time, and roughly guessing her timezone it was really late (basing this on the Hero Mafia times that she posted as well). So, she may very well have been legitimately in a hurry. But there's Dag's saying to think about a few pages back.

Assuming it was QuadraSlash and not the other one. We have no way of confirming that.
I'd call percentages 'random situations', and I'm 99% sure you weren't even included, since the 4 were randomly selected, if I understand the power correctly.

What makes you think it was QuadraSlash? You think rika was lying? I also agree, Mog was not even an option to be killed by this.

Rika said it was the level 7 one. I'm just tired and cranky, so I'm treating everything with a certain measure of skepticalism.
Daganev2009-12-10 23:00:33
Meh, I'm confusing QuadraSlash with QuadraSmash, nevermind me
Rika2009-12-10 23:10:48
It's actually QuadraSmash (the bad one) and QuadraSlice (the good one which I did). I started charging on page 4 when I woke up and saw the thread and activated on page 11. Level 7, QuadraSlice.
Unknown2009-12-10 23:18:59
It's all chance either way, so I don't see how one is particularly more believable than the other, especially now on day 1 when there is the largest pool possible for the four non-voters to be drawn from.
