I realize this will sound very much odd, but I don't find Shiri's claims suspicious. I really am the safest lynch possible, at this point, and pretty soon someone is going to have to get over their indecisiveness and stick their neck out. That's what mafia is about.

I don't find Shiri's claims hugely scummy. Sensible, yes, unfortunate as well, but not necessarily scummy unless someone wants to persuade me otherwise.

I'm not sure what claims you are refering to. The issue is his tone and his mistakes.
Dugan2009-12-14 14:29:57
This is starting to stall out. Since Shiri is the one closest to the lynch.

Unvote: Kira
Vote: Shiri.
Unknown2009-12-14 14:32:21
I still think Dugan is a better lynch compared to Shiri, who I have reservations about, and even Furien (though the latter seems really fatalistic about it). Unlike Kira and Kefka, Dugan isn't our only protection against Ultros - there's Celes, Edgar, and even Locke with proper preparation. All of them have an equal chance of messing up Ultros's nightkill, so I'm more willing to lynch Terra on day 1 as compared to Strago (whose ability is one-of-a-kind, barring Locke copying it). Not a compelling enough reason for me to remove my vote.

Forgot to mention this last night, but FoS Romertien again - his/her only input this time round was to reiterate what s/he already said and we all already know. Post I'm referring to below.

QUOTE (Romertien)
My vote stays with Furien... No way for that mog power to help the town, since neither of the scum powers have a chance to miss. Only truly useful thing it does is block Rika's swordtech, esp. if he's scum.
Unknown2009-12-14 14:34:48
In view of Dugan's latest post, which I didn't see until I posted that last one - copping out on his "I don't trust Kira at all" to switch his vote to the largest bandwagon. Hmmmmm. Very town-like behaviour.

So, if I may ask, why are you voting Shiri?
Shiri2009-12-14 14:50:05
Dugan is acting scummier than Furien and has votes on him too, so unvote vote: Dugan I guess.
Shiri2009-12-14 14:52:45
Incidentally, for when this comes up tomorrow I don't think Dia is scummy, just having a hissy fit.
Unknown2009-12-14 15:19:21
Eh, Rom and Dugan are getting fishier now. Makes it hard to decide if I want to stay where I am or bounce my vote. Hmm.

Interestingly, Shiri is acting the exact same way. Shifting his vote to Dugan for almost the exact same reasons.

Now, while others can potentially and theoretically stop Ultros, if they get lucky. Terra is actually able to protect the logical choices of who Ultros might go after.

Technically, the redirector can also help protect against Kefka, if he's able to redirect kefka back onto himself.
Daganev2009-12-14 16:14:41
Let me make that more clear. As much as non-Terra charachters can protect against Ultros, non-AuqaRake charachters can protect against Kefka.

But we still arn't willing to lynch Kira on day one and for the same reasons we should not be lynching Dugan.. on day one.
Shiri2009-12-14 16:18:18
Kira isn't a great day one lynch even without that, so I'm sure that's part of it.

Silf, I have a question for you. You've been playing mafia games for a while so I know your smarter than this. I have two votes on me. No where near close to being lynched. I don't even consider two votes any kind of pressure when we need seven. Wait, before Silf tries another derail, I have three votes now cause of Shiri. Still don't consider three votes any kind of pressure on day 1 and not sure why you are bringing up jumping on a bandwagon. I don't even see how you can call what is on Shiri a bandwagon when his votes have been there for rl days. So Silf, whats your game ... or are your panties all tied in a knot cause I used the term Sheeple.

(Though I did get a laugh out of Tervicle. That one still cracks me up.)

Oh and anther thing Silf. I still don't believe Kira, but I also had the last vote still on her. No one was going to agree with me and lynch her on day one, so why should I keep my vote there and prevent the game from moving forward? I could sit on my hands, left my vote on Kira and done nothing ... but then nothing would have gotten accomplished either.

@Tervic

Nothing but love brother, nothing but love. =)
Siam2009-12-14 17:27:36
well, since I'm still unsure of everyone else and Furien has been endorsing that he's the safest, vote: furien

I am deeply amused that I am the one having the hissy fit after your little tantrum about me not voting. tongue.gif
Daganev2009-12-14 18:29:31
yeah' its interesting seeing shiri point out his own flaws by trying to paint it on other people.
Kiradawea2009-12-14 21:28:31
Furien is NOT a sensible vote. Yeah, Mog is an excellent survivor, but let us take a look at the setup again shall we?

There are three random abilities.

First, we have Setzer and his investigation. If subject to this, Mog will always come up town. This is easily avoided. Setzer never investigates Mog, and that won't be a problem.

Second, Relm and her sketch ability. If she tries to redirect a killer, Mog won't be killed, regardless of wether she targetted Mog or not. If she tries to redirect Terra or Celes and the 75% roll fails, Mog will be protected (because Mog has no night-action, and thus Runic will only be a doctor for him). As long as Relm keeps this in mind, this shouldn't be a problem at all.

Last is Cyan and his swordtechs. Dispatch won't work. Mog won't be killed by retort. He's never targetted by Quadraslam. He is only targetted by Quadraslice if he's scum and Rika is town, and even then he simply won't be killed.

Those are the three instances where Mog's power has an effect. All are easily avoidable, so there is no reason to lynch Mog just based on the power.

Furien's a safer lynch than anyone else here, though.

How is some random person a safer lynch than scum?
