Day powers, taking the broadest sense of the word, are Runic (Dia), Doublevote (Dag), Swordtech (Rika), Aqua Rake (Kira) and Smash (Siam), with Furien being the only passive.
What are you referring to?

Just 'cause someone is useful doesn't mean we should kill them. There's only a 2/14 chance of hitting a scum if we vote randomly.
Unknown2009-12-09 17:36:28
I think Shiri is saying his reasoning was too double-edged: you are just as likely to kill a genuine town asset as you are scum. Hence, his redirection to wanting to target those who aren't town assets or primarily assets to themselves?
Unknown2009-12-09 17:41:46
The "they die anyway" was a little confusing, but I guess I get the gist of it. Furien seems like a safe choice overall without additional info aside from what's given in the modpost, but we can wait and see.
Dugan, can you elaborate on what seemed 'off'?

Yes, but my new train of thought makes sense to me. Or maybe it doesn't and I'm too dozy to tell
Vendetta seems to have gotten my updated reasoning right, though, so maybe it does make sense...

On a separate note: if your power is stolen, does that mean you can't use it, and only the thief can until they have used it? Or can you still use it yourself whenever?

The target can still use the power as normal. Go ahead and ignore that that barely makes sense. It barely makes sense that he steals things like Gogo's patience and perceptiveness anyways.

I've played games where a person's manliness can be stolen from them, so I think I can roll with that.
I'm not quite sure what's off about Kira either. What's setting off your scumdar, Dugan?
Kiradawea2009-12-09 17:56:27
Yeah... to be honest I expected that to be Gogo's power, with Locke being the watcher.

The reasoning sounds a bit fine, it's your pronouns that are all off.
vote shiri
for saying "If we're town" while semi-asleep, and other gramatical oddities that make me think he is trying too hard to sound like one of us.

I find Shiri's actions suspicious too, he makes sound like I'm modding again or something. I'd guess Xavius would be random and therefore we should not go by based off of what would be most painful to town. To me, it just sounds like a scum excuse to try and eliminate the most powerful townies during the day.
But hey, Silferras, if I could rearrange the alphabet, I'd put you between F and CK.

Casi, don't make me Grand Train you into next week.
Shiri2009-12-09 18:29:20
Ok, I have no idea whatsoever why I'm being voted for, but I'll leave my vote where it is right now, I think I have the best plan for a kill in the absence of scum tells (I'm getting vibes from Kira too but not sure how well-substantiated they are) regardless of my earlier plan so I'll stay voting on Alianna atm.
Shiri2009-12-09 18:31:22
Uh, apparently I didn't actually change vote unless Xavius' vote count sucks, unvote vote Furien

Don't be hatin' Kira, I'm feeling a little off today. Would you like to turn me on?

I'm sorry. I'm A. You're B. We were never meant to mix.

Just need to find a C and we're all ready for a sandwich with me in the middle.

I believe that you are bloody mistaken prince. I am no lover, but a hater of epic proportions.
Unknown2009-12-09 18:43:48
What happens when you flirt with the mod?
That aside, I'm curious as to whether there is any chance element at all to the powers aside from those of Cyan/Setzer/Relm. If Relm's redirected night action misses someone and would hit Mog, does it get shunted until it hits someone?
I'm fairly suspicious of those who are voting town-beneficial power roles without backup, or with questionable backup.
Kiradawea2009-12-09 18:45:28
I'm thinking that if Shadow would be randomed to Mog, Mog won't be killed but someone else is targetted, and if Terra is randomed... it would always go to Mog because that's the most beneficial outcome for Mog.
