Glom really doesn't have any huge numbers by any stretch of imagination is what I want to say.
Yup, you got me there. We're actually probably already heading towards that BoP shift thing someone else mentioned. As of just a couple weeks ago, though, it always looked to me that Glomdoring had more than the rest of us, or at least had/has most of the demigods/ascendants, thus the domoths and combat, locked down pretty well still.
To the administration:
- Release the combat streamlining stuff sooner rather than later.
- No more new skills for a while, but new abilities in existing skills would be cool.
- Work on balancing conflict quests between organizations such that it's more of a one-on-one capable thing, not cities vs communes or good vs evil.

Yeah, I tried to inflate the list with Magnagorans to make Merik and yourself feel better, and not like it was all Glomdoring's fault.
Why would I give a damn?

Celest has had more people, by itself, than Glomdoring has had for a long time-- since before it declared war on us, even. You can even find an Eventru post raving about it.
So, yeah, there's nothing there about bored players leaving with these numbers, it's just, the way things have been for quite a while. Most of Mag's heavy hitters quit, Seren only ever really had two, and Celest is enjoying peace (mostly). The numbers have been pretty stable, though Mag was down at 18% for a while and only recently started regaining ground. Celest lost a few.

I hate to say this, but.. it's quality over quantity. Celest has mostly snugglers now who get pissed off if people ask them to defend, and make excuses. Honestly, who do you see in Celest who actually fights besides Vey, Jazella, Inagin, and maybe Lorina?
Unknown2009-12-16 02:05:32
Sheer numbers aren't the same as capable people, but that's a bit of a side discussion.

Yeah, we had bad revolt times the last couple of weeks, so we lost some of them, but oh well.
I think the demigod proportion is also pretty even now. Certainly compared to Mag (with their recent hoppers), not really Seren/Celest now.
Also what Xenthos said.

They fight?
The only person I ever saw from Celest fight is now not in Celest.

Demigod snugglers are just snugglers with Divine Fire. They still don't actually count for anything.

Munsia and Veyrzhul are the only two Celestians I've seen doing any real fighting.

Jazella, Lorina, Meir, Veyrzhul are the ones I see fighting in revolts / wildnodes really.
Also: Munsia isn't in Celest any more.

Absolutely, all orgs have them, and I did say compared to Mag and not the other two.

Just out of curiosity what sort of things do you think would make you look forward to playing more? Obviously it's a subjective thing and you'll all have different viewpoints which I'm interested in hearing. I also mean more RP wise not so much coding or skill changes etc.
manses: I would like to see more fun things (that can be bought with gold).
and in general just small 'artifacts' (items, or whatever you want to call them) that cost some gold price. ... that are sorta like mini artifacts

Sup bro
(actually, to be fair, there haven't really been any serious raids or defenses while I've been back)

All you're really asking for here is shiny, dangling objects to keep you entranced as long as possible. It's like you're wanting to quit but are asking to be given incentive to stay.
Seriously, I'll be blunt- QQ. Just drop it. If it's not fun and it's approaching the point of feeling like work or tedium, just step on out and find other things to do.

For me, the boredom seems to set in most from a sense of waiting. If I'm not waiting for designs to be accepted, I'm waiting for someone who can log in and make something, or waiting on an alt for someone who can review what work I've done, or waiting for a quest to open up and be available, or waiting for a bug to get fixed (dingbat hamster is STILL broken ), or drooling over the potential prospect of an essence shop, or... lots of other things.
Of course, this might just relate back to "You play too much: play less".

Exactly, did you not read my 3 points of why you should spend less hours playing if you feel bored?
Merik2009-12-16 03:00:03
Problem is, if you play less you have less of a chance of catching the person you're waiting for. :/

The thing is, I normally enjoy work, its the point when even that becomes boring. Maybe it is that I'm just looking for shiny objects to keep me entranced, but what RP thing isn't really at a base level?
In anycase, I gave what I would like to see. Rather it is seen as incentives to stay or not is up others.

That depends. If the person you are waiting for is predictable, just log on when they are normally around.
Much less waiting time!
