Jack, you should marry me then and we can plot world domination as the Illuminati and Templars.

Secret Majestic 12 clan?

Just wait until the bard guild is called the Freemasons.
Aerotan2009-12-30 03:06:23
And the monks the Bolsheviks.

I like where this is going... suspicious.gif

Anyone taken a brewmeister to either new city and tried to see what their special brew thing is?

This.

It makes me wonder what the Hallifax one will do, since the Gaudiguch one obviously makes next attack set your opponent ablaze.

Doesn't pyrotoxin already do that? Having both would be a bit much for dagger-using telekinetics.

More importantly, what are the dogs for each city?!?

Pyrotoxin strips frost and does fire damage + burn levels, but doesn't actually set you ablaze.

Random off-topic rant: Stupid Aeromancy. I wish it had less curing and more offensive power. And an instakill.

Eh, I like the curing power. Oh, what were the "broken" skills you mentioned before?
Edit: Since the big guys and girls up there don't like bugs being posted on the forums, can you send me a message about them?

Well, at least now we know what's wrong. Hopefully an admin will be able to fix it, since it's a pretty good effect... when it works.

The city power quest for Hallifax seems a bit...excessively tedious and inefficient. You kill a bunch of things, consuming a truckload of myrtle along the way, and then run around the city repeatedly to gather one finished "needed item" at a time. Usually you run out of one color before the others, at which point you have to run for more raw material (if it's repopped) - and more myrtle, yay.

The quest is really nice in theory - it's actually a very clever idea, but in practice it gets really tedious and occasionally frustrating (oh it wants alabaster followed by heliotrope followed by lavender?). Maybe I'm just irritated by the fact that all the mobs involved give blindness, sometimes repeatedly.

This. Compared with sands, pixies, shadows, maybe even spikes, it's really really complicated, and doesn't even give any gold in reward.

Initiates aren't complex, but you need up to capable in influence, so meh. Not really...good for novices.
Eventru2009-12-31 17:08:39
Hallifax not giving gold/xp was an oversight (fixed!). Gaudiguch now gives gold/xp for influencing with the correct type, however they'll follow you no matter what type of influencing you use.

Edit: We've also gone through and made all of the initiates of a friendly demeanor, so they cannot be made paranoid (screws with the quest anyways) and also makes the weak to begging (so novices should have an easier time of it).

Afterthought: Hallifax's power quest gives double the power that any other org's does, hopefully to make up for some of the difficulties associated with it (and a lack of a nexus world critter bonus).
Eventru2009-12-31 17:21:54
And what are you spending mystle on in Hallifax's power quest?

All the joules give blindness as an attack.

Thanks for having the quest give gold/xp now. smile.gif
