Return of Hallifax and Gaudiguch

Back to Common Grounds.

Glomdoring, on the other hand, was less certain of the wisdom of
providing the cities with quick access to the fae. They turned their
hand to stopping the process, and Hallifax voted to abstain from
activation until the situation stabilised.

Glomdoring 2.0, you say? :S
Llesvelt2010-01-03 11:05:47
Hallifax' dont rush into anything.

Better to wait and observe.
Unknown2010-01-03 11:11:08
Well, archways are two-sided. While it grants easy access to Faethorn, it also grants easy access to the Elemental planes. Hallifax wants Air all for itself, since it needs power.
Esano2010-01-03 11:17:23
Now you just need to work together to balance the archways so you can use them for psionics!

Plz2notbeignoring old events for new cities.

Consider those events ignored. biggrin.gif

I feel a weird obligation to switch back to Telepathy, being the Aero GC and having it be the sparkly staple skill or whatever.

I think TK is better than TP for Aeros, now that I've got more experience with it.

(Then again, the grass is always greener.. Blah blah blah)

Thought: If Hallifax and Gaudiguch had their own puppy factories, then trackers wouldn't be nerfed at all when there, but would basically have knight populations made from people who learned the skills somewhere else and moved on over, without any of the work of creating new guilds/skillsets yet?

All irrelevant if they keep their dogs these days of course but I'm guessing that they don't.
Rodngar2010-01-08 00:33:59
I'm sure the pounds/kennels are coming soon.
Rika2010-01-08 00:34:55
They'll likely come when the warrior guilds are opened.
Unknown2010-01-08 00:46:07
They were out, then removed.
Unknown2010-01-08 07:53:08
I hope they're planning on adding some new villages once the new cities are better able to compete for them. Shanthmark and Paavik came along after Glomdoring was released, and I suggest we'll need at least two more. A trill and/or lucidian one that can revolt along with dairuchi, and one with no obvious affiliation that can become the new solo revolt.
Atellus2010-01-08 19:25:34
Not having been around long enough for the opening of a new org before I was just curious as to how many people join the new cities but not the new guilds? I assume doing so would be easier for some classes than others but I am sure it must still be done. Is the "only one guild open at the start" plan having the intended affect of limiting the initial growth of the two cities to avoid making the existing orgs depopulate?
Unknown2010-01-08 19:45:45
Gaudi has at least one monk, Halli at least two warriors and a bard. Most of the people who weren't mages but really wanted to switch just took the dive and swapped their skills, and will probably swap again when their desired guild opens. I'm sure there's others waiting in their old orgs to see how things pan out by the time their desired guild opens, and others will lose interest and trickle away, so it's hard to say what the long-term impact will be at this point.

Talking with Elostian made me realize a couple things about Continuum/Vortex that I hadn't considered.

The Halliguardians/Illuminati are gonna be weiiiiird.
