Adepts.
Biotics.
Oh the memories <3
Lifting entire parties of enemies into the air, walking under them and then pushing them up a mile into the sky until they fell to their death.

I'm hoping the combat is a bit less stiff, but the game is still going to be awesome, I'm sure.
Currently playing through Assassin's Creed 2, and I'm just blown away by how they've been able to improve on the engine from the first game, which was pretty darned amazing when it came out. If only this game had the Mass Effect facial animation, it'd be perfect.

Snape kills dumbledore!
Anywho, weapon stats don't matter too much, so play with whatever you want. I personally favour using the Captain's Sword along with the Stilletto for a bit more authentic of a feel.
Doman2009-12-24 21:38:52
Psh, you use Altair's sword and you like it!

Actually, I generally use the hiddenblades. No counter-blocks. When I do use a weapon, it's stolen.

That is not Mass Effect 2, you jerks

Double post, what 'lo?

I hope they stuck true to the space opera style and plot, and didn't turn this into another high resolution platform shooter.
I enjoyed the original so much that I can hardly help but feel I will be disappointed here.

Well, according to everything I've read about it, they've really amped up the combat feel of it to feel more like a true shooter, but at no sacrifice to the story.
I guess that'll come down to personal preference, but I enjoy shooters. And the story is looking a lot more serious this time around.

I rather liked it last game. It felt like a nice halfway between an RPG and a FPS.

Mass Effect was fantastic. I've just started playing Dead Space and that's pretty friggin great too.
I only played through it once, as an infiltrator. I don't need any pansy biotics, just a souped-up pistol and a souped-up WREX.

I killed Wrex on my third playthrough.

I kind of wish I had (been forced to) kill him my first playthrough.
That would've been such a shocking moment for me if it had happened, and easily one of the most memorable. Alas, I was familiar with Bioware's games and had maxed charm at the time.
Plenty of other epic moments to make up for it though.

That mission was intense...

Hard choice here. Buy this, or buy L4D2.

I bolded the correct choice.

I'm looking forward to more girl-on-girl, too, of course. Who's with me?
