Why would a warrior care about non-decay? I already have a 50% reserve investment to make my armor non-decay.
I'd pay for the resetting though.

I would too, actually.

I think we all would. It should also make the plate un-smeltable.

And, not every warrior is a blacksmith. I'd pay for the non-decay and resetting. Other boosts would be nice, but they'd have to be something you could apply to robes and armor alike.
Rika2009-12-31 01:21:54
Maybe make so they never need to be repaired.
Unknown2009-12-31 07:36:33
I'd definitely invest in these. Just make the stats equivalent to a REALLY nice set . Bear in mind how much people can and do shell out to get those, both in time and money - it wouldn't be a massive change to combat for top-level stats, as people are getting numbers around there anyways with enchanting and forging already. This is just a credit-funded option to get there (and stay there, with non-decay).

Why is resetting so desirable? Has anyone with selfishness ever had their fullplate stolen?

1) You will never always have selfishness up.
2) You have to give it to others for repairing.
3) After paying that many credits for it, do you really want to worry about it possibly being stolen?
Unknown2009-12-31 13:04:11
Resetting also means you can loan it out as a fun, show-offy thing to newbs.
Esano2009-12-31 14:55:20
Although only you can wear your fullplate ....
Unknown2009-12-31 14:57:58
I guess some jerk could smelt it down. I found some full plate on the ground once (near decaying so obviously it was unwanted), smelted it down and sold it at the Mag comm shop for about 20K.

Fullplate doesn't decay. That was field plate.
Just, with the merging, all plate descriptions were merged. This means that some field-plate-looking-things are actually full-plate, and many full-plate-looking-things are actually field plate.
Other fun things: Flame sigil it and drop it at their Nexus, put it in a nexus, etc.
I'd pay for resetting (and also not having to get bloody armour repaired, that's annoying, too). If they want to throw in a few extra perks like letting us proof it, great. If not, I'd still pay, heh.
Tervic2009-12-31 18:42:31
Can it be a rune instead of a purchasable suit? I kinda like my armor descriptions...
Vathael2010-01-01 15:10:37
I got Iasmos' field plate once.
Unknown2010-01-01 21:29:24
Sure, pay for non-decay and reset.
No on armor bonuses. Look at how long it took my heavily runed sword to get to critical on Shuyin, with him sitting and not curing. The last thing we need is people even harder to hurt with physical attacks.

Except that nobody knows how long it took that heavily runed sword to get to critical on him, because it could have been anywhere from the fifth hit to the eleventh.

And if I remember correctly it was all non power hits.

Uh huh.
Regardless, we don't need to make existence even more miserable for non-demi physical damagers.
Now, if we want to add a slew of different armour runes that also passively cure, or work like an additional love potion, so everyone takes a haircut, sure.

A non-decay/resetting rune for armor (125cr?) would be much appreciated, and one for robes as well- especially if it bumped them up to their normal maximum prestige, or their normal+shears prestige (so worn pieces could be brought back to maximum prestiege while maintaining their stats, and made nondecay/resetting).

I'm still of the opinion that Splendours should be pulled in-line with Fullplate. IE, Free Customization and Non-Decay, but needing the skill to wear.
