Still on the topic of clans, a command for leaders to retitle clan positions, and/or to re-order the positions (like 1 to 2, 3, to 1, etc)

Think you can already do both. Help clanleaders.

How about this for a simple idea: Allow you to use SHIP PROFICIENCIES while not standing in an aethership.

I'd still really like that alert message you get from the admin whenever you first log in for orgs, please. Even if we have to pay for them, I'd think one for reminders for communes/cities/guilds/orders would be dandy so that we don't just end up spamming the newsboards with reminders anyway.

Yes please. It'd just be easier.

Let us have mobs that act like Necromorphs in Dead Space, depending on where we slash, they'll keep moving till we dismember 'em.

How would that work for casters? You'd have to put in a mechanic for us to aim our attacks somehow. Or do you mean more like the giant sand worm from the bubble event on Dramube?

Sorry for the double post, but could we please have some message when you archive a book to the Library that says what it's Book Id is? Currently it goes like this:
LIBRARY ARCHIVE 23214 AS SCHOLARLY
You archive the book.
BOOK SET ... Er.... what's the number?
BROWSE AUTHOR BLARGH (wait for it to call up their list, find the book, oh look! 23214 -> 8135)
PERFORM REST OF BUISNESS.
"You archive the book as #" would be terribly convenient.

A way to see what the total experience bonus you are operating under is, and a way to see what level of regeneration you have in each of health, mana, and ego.
And a special line for when you unlock something with a keystone, to make it a bit flashier.

I'd love to see a command that allows you to see the current size of a character or denzien, since it's not always easy to see by the player's/denzien's description.
sizeof Tully
Tully is Size 8
sizeof Xenthos (using his vernal powers to change size)
Xenthos is size 25
sizeof Max Coldsteel
Max Coldsteel is size 6

Charisma too. Maybe COMPARE that shows how you how they rate in various things compared to you, which could replace STAREDOWN. (But I doubt denizens have a size to compare with. Not sure if they have a charisma, either.)

When you get the login message about some of your bugs being recently updated, it would be nice to have something pointing out which one. When I have like 10-12 on the list it's sometimes hard to figure out which one changed.

We touched on the subject of cool ship concepts in a clan, and this idea came to me (actually, this is something I've wished to see for a long time)
A way to assign a ship a description so that in aetherspace you can
SHIP LOOK
to see what they look like, roughly. Otherwise no one could tell from the name that Xanadhi is a giant starfish, or the Yantra is... whatever it is. It'd be a nice touch

I like the idea.
The Yantra's an amalgamation of these images.

Allow us to do things like PROBE - HERE where the HERE would ignore all objects you have in your inventory. Make this available with most standard quest interactions. This would help with quests a lot.
Lendren2011-02-02 22:28:47
I once played in a MUD where anytime you specified an item you could add a suffix that could say things like "the second one in my inventory", as a means of avoiding ever seeing the numbers we see in IH. But I suspect anything like that would really have had to be built in at the ground level. Going back to change everything that finds an item from some word in the command line would be crazy hard when there's a jillion verbs already in the system, with different syntaxes, some inherited from the first days of Achaea.

Or manse/module perms based on clan position. You can already do this for guild and org rank, but would love to see another layer to all this. For example an org-deeded clan could handle aethership module perms by associating clan rank to specific module. This way you could give someone access to module as pledges learn the various roles within an aethercrew.

This.
Also, I was wondering, why not put a little "x" or "+" to point out exactly where a person is standing when using the magical map of mystery? Would be a nifty little touch.
