myeah, that was more of a sarcastic reference to previous claims that the institute is why the city floats...
Whoever said this was either not serious or does not know what they are talking about.
Also, I actually have a timey wimey detector. It goes ding when there's stuff.
Rancoura2011-02-28 01:57:09
This has likely been suggested before, but I'm not aware of any reasons why it couldn't be implemented... but kegs showing up in potionlist?
Enyalida2011-02-28 02:10:03
There should be a way to trade dolls, I think there is a mechanic to trade collector dingbat-equivalent items in at least one of the other IRE's. It's not like the dolls have anything to do with combat and it would be awesome to have some method of acquiring a set when parts of it are retired.

I unno, but I think it might have actually been a serious claim

It's a small thing, but one addition Achaea implemented a while ago was a limited additional range of election texts. Currently, whenever anyone challenges anyone else it comes out "Being displeased with the performance of Blahdiblah in the position of Grand High Poobah of Awesometown, this vote of no confidence has been called." It'd be nice if the first person could append, say, RETIREMENT to the challenge command and get "Due to the retirement of Blahdiblah from the position of Grand High Poobah of Awesometown, this election has been called." Other possibilities include DORMANCY and whatnot. It's just weird watching even the most amiable of elections have this incongruous message.

PLEASE DO THIS ESTARRA, YOU WILL MAKE MONEY.
How many hundreds of credits do you think it would take to pry a Selene doll out of someone?

Or Ashtorath! I would like this quite a bit, money will be made, nerdgasms will happen.

Clearly, the answer is for Estarra to have 'reprints' of the dolls every once in a while.

I must say... the DAY I was going to buy Japhiel... they switched it. I'd been debating it, and then I was like, "Ok, I'd better get him before they retire." Read announce post. Cried a little. Went and bought Shakiniel. I want a full set of Supernal dolls though!
Seraku2011-02-28 22:38:57
Agreed I want me a scuchidira doll so badly to go with my drachou.

I've got mixed feelings about this, but would it be possible to (if you can convince the current holders to give them up) have each of the org censers be housed and reset to the mage or druid guild that has that terrain type?
It would also be cool to buy some of the toy type artifacts and have them reset to a commune or city location and be owned by the nation. So there could be a Serenwilde Fate deck in our game room. It might be better to give something like a fate deck the equivalent of a flame sigil affixed, so if members of that nation want to play elsewhere, they have to buy their own deck.

I actually asked about the Fate Deck thing not too long ago, and was given a solid no in response. I think it would be cool, but I don't know if they'll go for it!

Org owned artifacts would be pretty neat. Imagine first on every orgs shopping list would be bubblix set and a cubix. So now everybody has almost always available instant access to... everywhere.
I can't decide if that would be a good or bad thing.

Not everyone could afford them from the get go though. So the org(s) with the most gold/credits would be ahead until others got the funds.
Sylphas2011-02-28 23:17:04
Or you do what Mag did, and just buy Daevos a cubix. Much simpler!

Well I don't know if any one org is far ahead of others in terms of gold/credits available, but once the purchase is eventually made, it's done and they're all on equal ground. No being out of luck because the 1-2 people who could actually afford them isn't around when you need 'em.

Retirement would be awkward, because... what if you use it and they aren't retiring?
Dormancy can still be under performance issues, they either should have retired or they are not active enough from an ic perspective.

Actually, there are. Don't believe Hallifax has much gold. Compared to Celest, hell just the Aquamancers, they fall far behind, and most likely same with Gaudi. They don't have much gold compared to the other four established orgs I believe.
