Retirement would be awkward, because... what if you use it and they aren't retiring?
Dormancy can still be under performance issues, they either should have retired or they are not active enough from an ic perspective.

Then the person who did so would be a fraudulent idiot, of course.
EDIT: Changed an imprecise pronoun.

Meh, org owned artifacts in general is a bad idea, which is why I was iffy on the censer thing.
For the non-combat and non-transportation artifacts it would be cool. The only exceptions I could see to transportation would be UV transportation that the monk guilds could get to their respective UV civs, and perhaps the censers, though it would be too easy to hand those out. For the UV things, it would be fastened down in their guildhall, so they just have a shortcut from their hall to the UV, one way.

Stupid dreambody fixes:
Make Obliviousness commands work in dreambody, or OBLIVIOUSNESS OFF, at least.
Make BRIEF and VERBOSE work in dreambody, actually, make all CONFIG things work in dreambody.
Make II work in dreambody
New fix stuff:
Make some way to follow other dreambodies, perhaps only if they allow you.
Make dreamweave channel work on sleeping and unconscious targets, or give us something that does (similar to dreamweaver sap having nightmare as its unconscious target health attack.) If you give an alternate, make it work in corporeal body, please.
Cool stuff:
Make using DREAMSPEAK on the body of a dreamweaver who is abroad echo to that dreambody. Alternately, make it just work like tells, regardless if you are at their body or not. I like the first better, actually

From my own time as a DW, I'd be all for most of this. However, I feel like the existing should be fully functional first. (Unless it has been, since I was last aware!) The nature of the skillset makes it tough to code.

Alternatively, for the Dreamspeak idea, it works the way it currently works if someone is awake, but if someone is asleep, Dreamspeak acts like a tell?

That would work also, being able to send messages to sleepers from a distance! But what I meant was that dreamspeak would work like a tell only to other dreambodies. So, only other dreamweavers in dreambody would get it. This would help coordinating dreamweaver attacks or finding each other if you get separated while exploring together.

Isn't being in your dreambody considered asleep? Unless what you're arguing for is for it to be more restricted to only dreambodies.

Language related ideas.
Allow bookbinders to forget languages without having to forget the entire skillset.
Allow bookbinders to learn more languages. Up to 7 at least, that's half the total languages.

I'd start saving my rl money so I could either learn more languages, or forget them and learn new ones, yup yup.

Mindlink ideas:
Allow a mindlink to be made at any elevation.
Make mindlinks not be counted as aggressive actions.
Add an extra effect to Hivemind which allows anyone to join the mindlink.

It's actually nearly 100% functional, a few minor bugs (like pets with reactions reacting to dreambodies) but all the major traditional kinks are worked out.

It is considered being asleep for most purposes, but I wanted to restrict it to dreamweavers.

Make druids not get gusted out of trees by weather on prime. All mages get immunity to their element, but druids fall out of trees? And no, cling doesn't make this unneeded.

Only Aqua/Geo, actually. Windwalk doesn't keep the wind on Prime from blowing us around, and as far as I know, the fire movement only exists on the Fire plane.

The only wind on prime that blows around is while flying, and the skill you get corresponds to the artifact, which dosn't cover flying winds, that's the Brooch of the Tempest. If druids got this, it would only be in effect on Prime, and only really in Serenwilde and on the roads, where it is windy at tree elevation.
Unknown2011-03-04 12:20:11
You could envoy it that druids don't fall out of trees in their own demesnes, at least. That seems reasonable. (And, don't forget your levitation!)

Only other Telepaths can join, which sucks since the mindlink squad bonus is wasted if you're hunting with people outside the mage guilds.

Is there any chance we could get a mechanic that allows us to designate acts or scenes in play? Specifically, this would let us record scene by scene, so small mistakes can be corrected without having to redo the whole thing. It's also make it easier to get a recording completed, I think, since you wouldn't necessarily need to coordinate all your actors' schedules for a full recording. I'll have to think about how those commands would look, though.

This reminded me of an idea I had. Could it be made so that city denizens refuse items/gold/etc from city enemies. It's annoying when people are able to pay Serarn to ferry them while they're an enemy.

This seems a little sparse, but I think it covers what I have in mind:
CODE
BACKSTAGE ACT CREATE <#>
Sets the total number of acts (scenes, really, but that nomenclature is taken already) in the currently selected production. Default is 1. If no number is set, recordings function as they currently do.
BACKSTAGE ACT SELECT <#>
Sets the currently active act for recording purposes.

BACKSTAGE ACT SELECT <#>
Sets the currently active act for recording purposes.
BACKSTAGE RECORD will begin a recording for the currently selected act, and the production won't be available for viewing at the stage until all acts are recorded. All roles, scenes, costumes, effects, and so on are still available no matter what act is selected. The divisions are for recording purposes only.
