People are seriously thinking they can envoy having a 500gp item do something comparable to a 125cr artifact?
Sure, why not? At maximum it gives 1 artifact's worth, they decay (the decay time could even be tweaked), and the artifacts would stack above and beyond that.
What's the problem?
The problem I have with pocketbelts right now is that they clump things up oddly, Ssaliss. And when they decay, everything in them goes poof instead of returning to your inventory. They're just a clunky mechanic.
Ssaliss2011-07-12 18:24:52
Why does it matter how they group things? You never have to get things from individual belts, after all, just from the whole belt-collective. As for them making the items inside them go to your inventory when they decay... that I can agree with (and I didn't know about stuff in belts poofing; time to organise my belts!), and should be fixed. It doesn't call for a massive redesign of pocketbelts though (especially such a massive nerf as your suggestion would be; a maximum of 2500 instead of 2000 isn't that big a deal, compared to the unlimited potential of pocketbelts).
EDIT: And if you want to fix the clunkiness for whatever reason, envoy to be able to either INB or PUT IN .

'Should be fixed,' sure. When bugged it was returned with "That's just how it's always worked." So it's not going to be fixed, I imagine because the whole system is clunky; just replace it with something easier for everyone to deal with and there'll be a lot fewer headaches for pretty much everyone, coders included.
With the current decay thing it really matters how things are grouped up, though.
(I imagine that 'put' and 'get' would suffer from the same coding-side-headache)

I still maintain that pocketbelts are largely unnecessary in today's Lusternia.

Could the list of tattoo designs have a column for weight? It's a bit of a pain to find tattoos to fill your requirements when you have to check each design individually for the weights.

Can us tattooers have mirrors installed in the parlors so we can tattoo ourselves?

They already removed a widely used and useful functionality for the sole purpose of stopping that, so I doubt it.
Enyalida2011-07-13 23:57:24
Can we have mirrors in general so that we can test targeted emotes? Or an emote database mechanic?

Just because I am a horrible clanhead in all instances, and can only hope that other people get as muddled as I do, it'd be neat to have an option along the lines of 'clan privs' or simply CLAN that will show some possible uses of the clan verb.

I whole-heartedly agree.

CLAN EXEC_SUMMARY will show privs, but not the exact syntax. I routinely give it to everyone when I'm clan head for that exact reason, although if you don't want them to be able to see bank account totals you'll just need to make a clanhelp.

Yes, I do know that, but it's the syntax I always mess up. There are a few that are entirely different commands from others, and I am easily confused

HELP CLAN LEADER any use to you?
Kaia2011-07-14 02:47:29
Well yes, but...that's..what I want to avoid. it's the scrolling, remembering to HELP CLANLEADER and not HELP CLANHEAD (as I always forget) etc etc etc.

I would like to be able to take apart partially formed curios.
Not completed ones. Just partially formed.
I had issued about accidentally attaching two different tree pieces together that made 2 partials, the very first day curios came out. Obviously I did not have a very good understanding of what I was doing, else I wouldn't have done that. My issue was deleted without a word, which was more than upsetting that the Admin simply ignored it rather than doing anything to attempt a fix - even a 'sorry, no, you should have taken more care' would be more appreciated than simply being ignored.
A lot of these problems will be solved if you allow people to take apart partially formed curios. Either they can turn into individual pieces (maybe having 1 piece getting destroyed in the process), or they get turned into coins.

No issue should ever be deleted without a word - if it was, it's quite possible it was done on accident (ie someone went to delete issue 123 and deleted 132 or 124 or 1124 or what have you), or something odd happened that caused the system to jump back.
Or it was converted to a bug, and you missed the notification.
I'm not sure what happened in this instance, but if an issue goes missing, feel free to re-file an issue (apologize for being a bother, just comment that issue #132 has disappeared and you missed the resolution and ask for clarification - and restate the issue, in case it really was accidentally deleted), or e-mail support.

New templates for artisans!
SCULPTURES - Normal Furnishing
The generic 'a statue of is here' is quite limiting to our creativity. Please allow us to prettify our homes and use up some of the ridiculous marble/coal/other reserves that build up.
BUSTS - Wall Furnishing
Together, a sconce and tapestry take up only 35% of available wall-space, and who really is going to have more than one of each... Displaying busts would allow us to commemorate famous family members, Gods, other things with heads.
Yes, this can be gotten around by describing such in the room description of a manse, but you then end up with huge room descriptions.
Please consider it. Thank you!

Bump!
Edit: Ooh, and plaques that could be attached to them would be neat too! Like a jeweler's engraving ability, but for furniture!
